Gwen Stefani is ‘Praying’ She Gets to Spend Time with Family This Year

On Friday, Gwen Stefani sat down on Hallmark Channel’s talk show “Home and Family” to discuss new song, “Here This Christmas,” as well as what’s on her Christmas list this year.

During the interview, Stefani disclosed that all she wants for Christmas is family time. Cue the waterworks.

“I’m praying we get to do that this year. That is the one prayer that I have.”

It’s safe to say Stefani isn’t the only one hoping for family time this holiday season. The coronavirus’s ongoing social distancing practices have put a dark cloud over the holidays for many Americans.

In addition, the Grammy award winner also revealed one of her family’s unique holiday traditions.

“One of the big things we do at Christmas is a wrapping paper wall, you have to email Santa to get it done at your house, so if you’re good, you get to run through the wrapping paper wall and see all your toys.”

Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton’s Full House

Besides being an award-winning pop star, Stefani’s also a mom to three boys she shares with her ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale. Stefani and Rossdale are parents to 14-year-old Kingston, 12-year-old Zuma and 6-year-old Apollo.

During the interview, Stefani got nostalgic about spending time with her children during the holidays, adding that she and her youngest son share a similar love for the holidays.

“Appollo was saying last night, ‘I just love Christmas. It’s my favorite holiday, mommy.’” She added, “I think that made me feel like maybe I’ve done something right because that’s the whole point, to make these memories.”

Stefani and fiancé, Blake Shelton, are bound to have a happy Christmas as a newly engaged couple and a full house.

When asked about co-parenting, Stefani opened up about Shelton’s relationship with her children.

“He is a good dad, actually. He’s been helping me out a lot,” she said. “I literally get to the point where I’m like, ‘You gotta get home, I need some help.’ It’s hard. I’ve got three boys.”
