Gwen Stefani Says ‘You Need a Party Dress When You Marry Blake Shelton’ in Gorgeous New Wedding Photo

After COVID-19 delayed their initial wedding plans, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton finally tied the knot this weekend.

The pop queen and country star had an absolutely stunning ceremony and reception. The two exchanged “I dos” on Saturday, July 3. It was a small and intimate, at-home ceremony. The two invited guests to Shelton’s massive ranch in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. There were only 40 guests invited to the star-studded event.

Gwen Stefani Custom Dress

Gwen Stefani showed up in a one-of-a-kind Vera Wang wedding dress to mark the occasion. She wrote on Instagram, “you need a party dress when u get to marry @blakeshelton …”

She’s dressed in a custom lily-white silk georgette gown. It has a sweetheart neckline and a fitted bodice. Stefani went for a different hair look than her normal iconic high ponytail. Her hair is mostly hidden under her gorgeous, long veil.

According to People, that veil was even hand-embroidered with both the couple’s names as well as Stefani’s kid’s names. Her dress also had hand-sewn love birds included in the design. The design has three baby birds, which were meant to represent Stefani’s three kids — Apollo, Zuma, and Kingston.

One of the best parts of her wedding attire is her fancy white cowboy boots with a stiletto heel and some glam. That glam includes some Swarovski crystals with the monogram of their initials fitted onto the shoe. Talk about putting her best foot forward.

A country star through and through, Blake Shelton kept that appearance up for his wedding attire. He had on a white shirt, black vest, a bow tie, and a black tuxedo jacket. Instead of some dress pants to match the look, the “Minimum Wage” singer opted for his classic blue jeans to finish off the look.

Both Stefani and Shelton shared some jaw-droppingly beautiful and intimate moments from the ceremony for fans to see on social media. One of which was the couple sharing a sweet kiss in front of their gorgeous multi-tiered wedding cake.

Details of Shelton and Stefani Gorgeous Wedding

The two danced to Peter Gabriel’s “Your Eyes” as their first dance song. Some fans were disappointed after not spotting a certain someone in the crowd at the ceremony — former “The Voice” judge and pal to Blake Shelton, Adam Levine. It seems that the invitations were incredibly sparse for the secretive ceremony.

According to Today, one familiar face that made an appearance was Carson Daly, a “Today” and “The Voice” host. In fact, he was the officiant for the couple on their big day. He seemed like the perfect person to officiate the intimate ceremony. Shelton and Stefani met on “The Voice” back in 2015 when they were both coaches. From there, friendship and love followed soon after. Both had gone through incredibly public divorces not too long after meeting, which was something they actually bonded over. The two got engaged last October.

It would even create the first duet the couple did together, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart.”

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton far from broke each other’s hearts, however. The gorgeous and radiant smiles on their faces at the July wedding seem to prove this.
