Pop superstar Gwen Stefani has been a peppy presence on her new husband Blake Shelton’s recent Friends and Heroes tour. And on Wednesday night, she took to Instagram to thank the country star for having her. The singer included a clip of herself dolled up in a trademark Gwen Stefani outfit.
In the clip, Stefani paired knee-high metallic pink boots with fishnet stockings, ruffled pink shorts and a silver-studded pink button-up top.
“@blakeshelton thank u for having me on the #friendsandheroestour gx,” Stefani posted.
Gwen Stefani Put in Multiple Appearances on Tour
Stefani has joined Shelton at multiple stops on his tour. Most recently, she showed up at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines to perform the No Doubt hit “Don’t Speak” with Shelton. The duo went on to perform “Happy Anywhere” and “Nobody But You” together.
“I’m genuinely shocked at how many people are out here,” Shelton reportedly said of the crowd that gathered to watch them perform. “Tons of people smashed up in here.”
Stefani earlier popped up at Cheyenne Frontier Days, where they performed the same trio of songs together. Shelton also performed plenty of songs from his own catalog, among them “Doin’ What She Likes,” “Boys Round Here” and “God’s Country.”
And at Country Thunder in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, Stefani performed “Don’t Speak” with Shelton for the first time since their wedding. The crowd cheered when the pop superstar strolled onstage to the opening notes from her hit song.
Before that, Stefani joined Shelton at Shelton’s bar, Ole Red, in Tishomingo, Oklahoma to rehearse together for a gathered crowd. Shelton later declared the rehearsal “a blast.”
All told, the couple clearly enjoy performing together almost as much as they enjoy each other’s company offstage.
Stefani and Shelton Recently Got Hitched
On July 3, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton tied the knot at Shelton’s ranch in Oklahoma. Stefani has called the day, “one of the greatest moments of my life,” and said that the wedding was, “beyond what I thought it was gonna be.”
At the wedding, the couple exchanged vows they wrote themselves. Instead of reading his aloud, Shelton opted to sing them in the form of a song he wrote specially for the occasion, “Reach for the Star.”
The couple’s mutual friend, Carson Daly, who early on had sat the couple down to have a talk about their relationship, officiated at the ceremony.
“You know, they’re like if you paired delicious fried chicken with a glass of champagne,” Daly later said of the newlyweds. “You know, like, on paper, on the menu, it doesn’t seem to work, but it works.”
