Who doesn’t love the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade? Before we all congregate with friends and family this holiday season, or even during for that matter, all eyes are on this wonderful parade on Thanksgiving Day. Home Town star Ben Napier is clearly a fan, as he wants to be a part of it. Yes, he has a “life goal” and it includes being Santa Claus in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

In a sit-down interview, Home Town stars Ben and Erin spilled the beans on their holiday traditions and their holiday goals. Their favorite day? Pancake Day, as they tell it. For them, they love that during this season because it is a rare opportunity to get everyone in the community together.

Ben also revealed the big news about Mr. Claus. However, because Ben is not in the age group of Santa, this is a long-term goal as he tells it. He doesn’t want to be Santa in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade just yet, it’s more of a “retirement plan” for the future. It is something he very much looks forward to and wants to seriously do.

Ben continued that he is not a fan of the all-white look of Santa’s beard, though. If he were to become Santa in the parade years down the line, he wants no part of that look. He wants to add his own spin on the character. He would prefer a “salt and pepper” look for his take on Santa. Only time will tell if Macy’s is OK with the change to the iconic character.

Again, it is going to take some time before this can come to fruition.

Ben said in the interview, “Obviously not now. I play a young Santa when I play Santa.” It is simply not yet time for him to take the plunge as he sees it. The Home Town star continues, “My beard hasn’t gone white. I got a few grays in there, a few whites. But yeah, that’s the goal.”
