Pro wrestling legend Hulk Hogan joins millions of people in mourning the death of “Saved By The Bell” star Dustin Diamond, who died Monday.

Diamond died from Stage 4 lung cancer at 44 years old.

Hogan, who had a part in Diamond’s career, offers his tribute to the actor on Twitter.

Hogan is referring to when Diamond was part of his 2008 show, “Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Championship Wrestling.” It lasted for eight episodes on CMT. “Knobbs” references Brian Knobbs, who was a trainer on the show and is one of Hogan’s best friends.

Besides Dustin Diamond, other celebrities included “Diff’rent Strokes” star Todd Bridges, reality TV star Trishelle Cannatella, and “The Partridge Family” star Danny Bonaduce.

Others included actor Eric Esch, “Bewitched” actress Erin Murphy, and former basketball star Dennis Rodman (who won the competition).

Dustin Diamond Received NASCAR Custom Paint Job

As word got out about Dustin Diamond and his cancer diagnosis, a number of kind-hearted efforts were being done in support of his battle.

One of them involved NASCAR driver Josh Bilicki. His car was featuring a message for Diamond. Dan Block, a close friend of Diamond and president of Insurance King, said Bilicki will honor him with a new wrap placed over the car. It features a “Saved by the Bell” logo and font style as well as an image of Diamond behind the driver’s side back tire.

Diamond starred in several Insurance King commercials utilizing the catchphrase “Saved by the King.”

Block said the car would most likely debut for the NASCAR Cup Series later this year. Insurance King has a strong relationship with the NASCAR series, he said.

With news of Diamond’s death, there is no update if the car wrap will appear sooner on Bilicki’s car.

‘Saved By The Bell’ Reboot Airing On Peacock Network

In November 2020, the Peacock Network started showing episodes of a “Saved By The Bell” reboot. A number of original cast members either are on the show or make guest appearances.

Dustin Diamond and Lark Voorhies, who were on the original NBC series, were not a part of this show. Diamond was not in the new show’s plans and reportedly had nothing to do with his illness.

Mario Lopez, who appears as high school coach AC Slater, said, “It’s a little edgier and updated, but not naughty by all means. It’s a lot of fun and I’m having fun with it.”

Original cast members Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Elizabeth Berkley, and Tiffani Thiessen make appearances, too.
