Former “Jeopardy!” Tournament of Champions winner-turned-host Buzzy Cohen is done with his own time as guest host on the show.

But that doesn’t mean he’s not paying attention to the folks that have been rotating through the job over the past few weeks. And he just may have uncovered a conspiracy the likes of which the “Jeopardy!” world has never seen…

Cohen admits that there’s no way of knowing what the connection could mean. But most recent guest host Savannah Guthrie and upcoming guest host Dr. Sanjay Gupta are undeniably connected.

That’s right. The back-to-back guest hosts share the same initials. Is “Jeopardy!” hiding something? We can’t be sure. But the coincidence hasn’t gone unnoticed thanks to the careful observation of Buzzy Cohen. And where Cohen is either too scared or too oblivious to go, we’re pursuing this conspiracy even further.

Would you believe us if we told you that after four straight weeks of “S.G.” guest hosting “Jeopardy!,” someone with the same initials in reverse is set to take over? Well, believe it. After CNN chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta finishes up his stint, George Stephanopoulos is taking over. Four weeks of “S.G.” into two weeks of “G.S.” Coincidence? We think not.

Hopefully, we’re not getting too far in over our heads. But you demand answers to the important questions, and that’s why we’re here.

A Decision on the Permanent ‘Jeopardy!’ Host is Just Around the Corner

Potential initial conspiracies aside, the search for a new permanent host of “Jeopardy!” has captured the attention of fans all over the world. And based on executive producer Mike Richards‘ comments, we should have an answer by the end of this summer.

The past few months have seen a handful of viable candidates for the role. Ken Jennings is a “Jeopardy!” favorite from his record-breaking performance on the show in 2004 and subsequent celebrity.

After him, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers turned in a solid performance in his guest-hosting run and has stated a desire to land the permanent job on multiple occasions.

“The Big Bang Theory” star and neuroscientist Mayim Bialik was a fan-favorite during her two weeks as well. And while she hasn’t been as adamant about getting the job, she made comments to suggest that it would be a dream come true.

Finally, we have LeVar Burton. Months ago, dedicated fans took to the internet and published a petition which garnered significant support to make the “Reading Rainbow” star the next host of “Jeopardy!” He has also made clear his intention to pursue the job. Although, we have to wait for his turn in the guest host rotation, as he is set to be the final host from July 26 to July 30.
