Jeopardy! champion Matt Amodio is on a hot streak. On Monday, the Jeopardy! pro raked in a massive one-day win of $83,000. Brining his overall total in the impressive run to well over $1.3 million.

And now, as he continues to wrack up his Jeopardy! wins, Matt Amodio has set his sights on a big goal. Actually, a few big goals.

The first goal, of course, is to best Jeopardy! GOAT Ken Jenning’s in number of wins on the long-running game show.

The other goal? To meet one of his idols, Stephen Colbert. It’s a good plan too.

“When my parents let me name our dog, I picked Colbert. @stephenathome has made me laugh nonstop from Strangers With Candy… to the Daily Show… to the Report,” Matt Amodio said in a Wednesday afternoon Twitter post.

“Also, I watch @colbertlateshow,” the Jeopardy! champion continues in the tweet.

Then, Amodio goes all-in for his ultimate goal once he hits seventy-five straight Jeopardy! wins.

“If I can get to 75 #Jeopardy wins, do you think he will talk Middle Earth with me?” the Jeopardy! champ asked in the post.

It’s really hard to see how Stephen Colbert could even consider turning down the Jeopardy! champ’s proposal. Especially after taking one look at the photo Matt Amodio shared with his Twitter inquiry.

Matt Amodio Shares His Lap Full Of Puppies On Twitter

In the Wednesday afternoon Tweet, Amodio included a photo of himself, smiling at the camera, holding the puppy Colbert…who is so, so, so incredibly cute.

Even better, however, is the fact that THERE IS ANOTHER PUPPY IN THE PHOTO.

So, should Colbert decide he wants to spend some time talking middle earth with the champ, there’s a very good chance he will not only meet his puppy namesake, but also another furry friend.

Who wouldn’t say “yes” to a lap full of puppies?!

‘Jeopardy!’ Winner Sets His Eyes On The Top Spot

To date, Matt Amodio has continued as the reigning Jeopardy! winner finishing on top for well over 30 Jeopardy! episodes throughout the last few months.

While this feat is massively impressive.

But, he still has a ways to go before he can earn the top title as the game show’s current GOAT, Ken Jennings who holds this title with an impressive 74 total wins in 2004.

So far, Amodio has blown past other Jeopardy! champions Julia Collins who’s 2014 twenty-day winning streak landed her among the champions list. And, just this week, Matt Amodio has bested second-place Jeopardy! champion James Halzhuaer in number of games won beating his record of 33 games set in 2019.

This, of course, puts Matt Amodio squarely behind Ken Jenning’s in number of winning episodes. A great accomplishment, sure. But, Amodio has quite a ways to go before he bests Jennings’s seventy-four episode winning streak.
