‘Jeopardy!’: Contestant Blows Away Dr. Oz with Impressive Whistling Skills

Dr. Mehmet Oz, host of “The Doctor Oz Show,” is currently serving as guest host of the popular quiz show Jeopardy!

Dr. Oz seems to be enjoying his turn as celebrity host of the show as he will continue the role for the next two weeks. His final episode as host will come on Friday, April 2, at which time another celebrity will assume the position. Jeopardy! officials have been utilizing celebrities since the passing of longtime host Alex Trebek, who died late last year.

One responsibility of the Jeopardy! host is to introduce the contestants and reveal a few things about them to the audience. Oz, the host of his own health-theme talk show seems especially adept at this responsibility and appears to enjoy meeting and getting to know the Jeopardy! players.

On Wednesday’s episode of Jeopardy! returning contestant Amal reveals a talent that blows away Dr. Oz. The host points out that Amal is an excellent whistler and then the contestant confirms by whistling Mozart. It is really a sight to behold and you check it out in a recent Instagram post.

“Amal’s whistling rendition of Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik deserves a round of applause,” the social media post states.

Jeopardy! Contestant Dazzles With Whistling Skill

When asked by Oz to share his talent, Amal shows no hesitation to show of his unique skill.

“I really enjoy whistling,” he says proudly. “I whistle all the time. Sometimes it drives people crazy.”

The Wednesday Instagram post took in more than 4,000 “likes” along with hundreds of comments.

Oz is the fourth celebrity to take on Jeopardy! hosting duties since Trebek’s death. The longtime host died on November 8 after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer. He recorded his final episodes just days before his death.

Former contestant Ken Jennings, Executive Producer Mike Richards and Journalist Katie Couric have also had turns as host. Green Bay Packers Quarterback and reigning NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers will take over for Oz on Monday, April 5. Journalists Bill Whitaker, Anderson Cooper and Savannah Guthrie will also serve as guest hosts in the future. Actress Mayim Bialik and Dr. Sanjay Gupta join them as future guest hosts.
