As it has for many years, “Jeopardy!” continues its pursuit of knowledge while also providing an entertaining competition of intellect.

On Thursday’s episode of “Jeopardy!,” a contestant scored big by correctly answering a question about a popular book series. Contestant Sarah Reza, a museum program manager from Hyattsville, Maryland, knows her books. Choosing the category “Did you read” on Thursday’s episode, Reza was also quick with the buzzer to correctly identify the literature. The show took to social media upon the episode’s conclusion to see how many fans could up with the right answer.

Think you can also come up with the correct response to this “Jeopardy!” clue?

“Indeed, this is a clue Lady Whistledown shall know about,” the social media post proclaims. The correct response to the clue is teased as a book that also turned into a Netflix favorite.

“(Did you read) about Daphne working with the Duke of Hasting in ‘The Duke and I,’ the first in this book series, not a Netflix fave,” the clue asks.

Let the iconic “Jeopardy!” music play in your head while you mull it over in your head. Think you’ve come up with the right answer?

“What is the Bridgerton series?” is the right answer to solve the clue. Sarah was awarded $800 for the correct response.

The Bridgerton series includes nine books featuring the trials and tribulations of the Bridgerton family. Like many popular book series, it was adapted into a television series and streams on Netflix. The series premiered on Christmas Day in 2020 and has one season to date. The series was recently renewed for a second season by Netflix.

‘Jeopardy!’ Utilizes Public Figures as Guest Hosts

“Jeopardy!” continues right along despite the absence of a longtime host, the late Alex Trebek. In his place, “Jeopardy!” is utilizing various public figures to fill in as guests host in order to keep the game going. The guest-hosting position is currently in the capable hands of journalist Savannah Guthrie. The TV personality will complete her first week on the job with today’s (Friday) episode. She will continue through next week with her final episode set for next Friday.

Savannah is the 10th individual to serve as “Jeopardy!” guest host this year. Each of the guest hosts are collecting money for their charity of choice. The show will match contestant winnings during the tenure of each guest host. Guthrie is hosting for “The Bowery Mission,” an organization that caters to New York’s homeless population.

Guthrie has drawn mostly positive reviews for her performance so far but doesn’t seem interested in the full-time gig. Former contestant Ken Jennings has the Nielsen Rating score of the 10 hosts with a score of 6.0. He and fellow former “Jeopardy!” champion Buzzy Cohen are the fan favorites for the position. Executive Producer Mike Richards actually has the second-highest Nielsen score at a very respectable 5.9.

“Jeopardy!” expects to name Trebek’s successor sometime this year.
