On Friday (October 15th), a Jeopardy! contestant shared a wild story of how he played basketball against NBA superstar Andre Drummond.

Jeopardy! contestant, Nima, spoke about the experience by stating he played a three-on-three game with Drummond.

“I grew up a basketball junkie. I always wanted to play against an NBA player. And, I had just such an opportunity recently when Andre Drummond, who was just with the Lakers, walked in. And, as fate would have it, I was in a three-on-three game with him.”

The Jeopardy! contestant also stated that he told himself if he can score on Drummond, he’ll return then and there. “I scored twice,” he declared. When asked why didn’t he return, Nima added, “I guess I was lying to myself. I love the game too much.”

Meanwhile, Jonathan Fisher, the contestant who dethroned 38-game winner Matt Amodio, is still in the game As previously reported, Fisher’s four-day winnings total is now nearing $100,000.

“I’m still processing it,” Fisher proclaimed after he beat Amodio. “It was such a close game with Matt and Jessica [Stephens] too that I went into a fugue state.”

Fisher also admitted that he didn’t expect to make it past his first Jeopardy! game. “I was expecting to do one show and have a great experience. And go home. So, hopefully, I can kind of keep it going and see. But honestly, it’s probably not going to get better than that first show.”

Matt Amodio Reveals How He Plans to Invest His ‘Jeopardy!’ Winnings

Days after finishing his winning streak on Jeopardy!, Matt Amodio shared how he plans to invest his Jeopardy! winnings. “I’ve got the boring answer. I’m going to do long-term invest and hold,” Amodio explained on Squawk on the Street

The now Jeopardy! champ also stated that he’s not quite there on the day-to-day trading because it’s too much for him to keep track of. “But index funds paired with a small amount of bounds, with yearly rebalancing, how can you go wrong, right?”

Amodio also admitted that he was not exactly shocked that his Jeopardy! run is now over. “A little bit surprised, but not too surprised. I had anticipated this moment 38 times prior to my 39th game. And every time before that I happened to win.”

Amodio took home $1.5 million, the third-largest sum of money won during a regular Jeopardy! season play.

Amodio previously stated to see himself on the Jeopardy! stage was an honor for everything. Fellow Jeopardy! Champion, Ken Jennings also stated that Amodio is a fantastic player.

“The one thing I admire more than anything else on Jeopardy! is consistency. It’s so hard to come out and win day after day and week after week.”
