Dr. Mehmet Oz, host of “The Doctor Oz Show,” wrapped up his Jeopardy! hosting tenure earlier this week.

Dr. Oz spent the last two weeks guest-hosting Jeopardy!, with his final episode airing Yesterday (Friday). Next up to assume hosting duties is Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who will begin his run on Monday,

In addition to filling in for the late Alex Trebek, the celebrities are hosting Jeopardy! in order to raise money for a charity of their choosing. Dr. Oz was able to raise a large amount of money for HealthCorps, Inc. HealthCorps is a national nonprofit that gives teenagers the tools to improve mental and physical health to live happier lives.

Jeopardy! is matching the weekly winnings of its contestants in order to raise the charitable offerings. The total amount won by contestants during Dr. Oz’s two-week hosting tenure is the amount HealthCorps will receive. The amount raised for the nonprofit is well over $250,000. The organization thanked Jeopardy! and Dr. Oz in a Friday social media post.

“The total donation we have received from Jeopardy! is $268,701!” the post states. “Thank you to Jeopardy!, Dr. Oz and YOU for helping us support over 19,000 students in health and wellness. But our fight isn’t over until we close the health gap!”

Several other Instagram users also took to the post’s comments section to thank Dr. Oz and Jeopardy! for a job well done.

Jeopardy! Forging Forward With Aaron Rodgers up Next

Oz is the fourth celebrity to take on hosting duties since the passing of Trebek late last year. Trebek passed away in November last year after succumbing to his battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 80. Oz follows former contestant Ken Jennings, executive producer Mike Richard, and journalist Katie Couric in the host role. Each of these celebrities was able to raise a significant amount of funds for their charity.

As for Rodgers, it is safe to say that the reigning National Football League MVP is ready for the challenge. He will be raising money for the North Valley Community Foundation.

Rodgers, who previously won a celebrity edition of Jeopardy!, will begin hosting duties on Monday.
