Jeopardy! fans know that the show’s most recent guest host, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, is a man of many talents.

Gupta, of course, is a neurosurgeon and the chief of neurosurgery at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Not only that, but he is also the chief medical correspondent for CNN.

You would assume that those two high-stakes positions — in addition to hosting Jeopardy! — wouldn’t leave Dr. Gupta much time outside of work to perfect another craft. However, in a hilarious back and forth with fellow guest host Buzzy Cohen, Gupta says he has some pole vault skills.

The entire discussion began on Thursday evening when Cohen posed a question to his followers on Twitter.

“Sure we’re all seeing how the @Jeopardy guest hosts handle the game and read clues, but when, pray tell do we begin the Feats of Strength?!” Buzzy asked.

In response, the Fake Jeopardy Twitter account posted one of their old funny tweets in reply. They said that Buzzy Cohen would definitely come out on top of one “feat of strength.” Fake Jeopardy thinks that he can deadlift more than fellow Jeopardy! guest hosts Ken Jennings and Levar Burton combined.

“As the official unofficial Jeopardy account, I must stay impartial. But the facts are facts, and @buzztronics could deadlift @KenJennings and @levarburton combined. And that should count for something.” The Fake Jeopardy account captioned the old tweet with, “Just saying, Buzzy.”

Buzzy Cohen and Dr. Sanjay Gupta Reply in Hilarious ‘Jeopardy!’ Back and Forth

Meanwhile, Buzzy Cohen responded in a hilarious fashion. While he may have the deadlift on lock, he thinks the show’s most recent guest, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, might be able to beat him in a different event.

“But I think @drsanjaygupta might have us in the triple jump…” Cohen replied.

However, Gupta wasn’t as confident in his triple jump skills as Buzzy Cohen was. He says that pole vaulting might be his bread-winning event.

“I don’t know — Think you would have me there too… maybe pole vaulting…” Gupta responded.

Safe to say that we would all like to see a Jeopardy! “Feats of Strength” competition.

How Long is Gupta Hosting the Show?

Jeopardy! has continued to move forward with a revolving door of guest hosts since the passing of longtime host Alex Trebek. Dr. Sanjay Gupta is the latest on that list. He started his two-week stint as the show’s guest host back on Monday, June 28.

We don’t know for sure yet if Gupta would put his name in the hat to be in the running as Jeopardy’s! next guest host. But he says that he can certainly see the appeal.

“Well, you know, I have to tell you, it’s a really interesting question because I would have never thought this,” Gupta admitted in an interview with WBZ-TV. “I have been a lifelong fan and you don’t sort of put yourself into those shoes. But having done it — and no one has offered me the job or anything — I could absolutely see the appeal.”
