OK “Jeopardy!” fans, it’s time to weigh in on how you think Dr. Sanjay Gupta in his first night on Monday as guest host of the game show.

Gupta, who is chief medical correspondent for CNN, started his two-week stint. Let’s see what some of the show’s fans are saying about his debut.

One fan tweeted, “First night of jeopardy with @drsanjaygupta was fabulous. A third career perhaps, concurrently? #Jeopardy.”

‘Jeopardy!’ Fans Giving Gupta Solid Marks After Monday Night Debut

“BeanieJedi33” tweeted, “Sanjay Gupta is hosting jeopardy and he looks so good I love him.”

Fan “f31rowe” writes, “So far, so good, with Dr. Gupta. #Jeopardy.”

Finally, “DrLindaTribuzio” chimes in and says, “Just watched!! Nice job Dr. Gupta!!”

While all of these responses to Gupta’s first night are positive, we’re sure there probably are a couple of people who will find something to pick apart.

He’ll be back on Tuesday and will serve as guest host until July 9. Gupta is the last guest host who gets two weeks behind the podium. The rest of this season’s guest hosts just get one week, starting with George Stephanopoulos from ABC’s “Good Morning America” on July 12.

LeVar Burton Is Fired Up About His Guest-Hosting Stint

Well, in case you didn’t know, LeVar Burton really wants to be the full-time host on “Jeopardy!” next season.

Now he’s going to get a shot at being a guest host on July 26-30. But the veteran actor and education enthusiast wants more than the guest role.

“It’s difficult to explain, but there’s something inside me that says this makes sense,” Burton told the New York Times. “I feel like this is what I’m supposed to do. I have been watching Jeopardy! more or less every night of my life since Art Fleming was host.”

Fleming hosted “Jeopardy!” for 11 seasons between 1964-75 on NBC.

“‘Jeopardy!’ is a cultural touchstone, and for a Black man to occupy that podium is significant,” Burton says. “Look, I have had a career for the [expletive] ages. ‘Roots’, ‘Star Trek’, ‘Reading Rainbow’. Won a Grammy. Got a shelf full of Emmys.

“I’m a storyteller, and game shows are tremendous stories,” he says. “There’s a contest, there’s comedy, [and] there’s drama. If you don’t know you’re [expletive] on ‘Jeopardy!’ you’re sunk in full view of the entire nation. The stakes are high. I love that.”
