Despite being in the midst of one of the greatest game show runs ever, “Jeopardy!” fans are already looking forward to the All-Star competition.

The “Jeopardy!” All-Star competition brings back some of the quiz show’s best contestants for an all-out battle. Previous editions of the “Jeopardy!” All-Star episodes have brought some of the best competitions the show has seen. Each player chose to represent the All-Star is a previous champion, multi-game winner and high score achiever.

In a recent Reddit thread, “Jeopardy!” fans toss about names of contestants they would like to see return. Fans of the game show will recognize some of these names immediately while others are flying under the radar. Two of the game’s most infamous players, Ken Jennings and Buzzy Cohen, are ineligible to return after taking up guest-hosting duties earlier this year.

“Was I the only one who really enjoyed the All-Stars Tournament from 2019?” a “Jeopardy!” fan writes. “I’d love them to do a variation of this event again for Jeopardy’s 40th anniversary perhaps. Which Jeopardy contestants should be invited? Also, note that Ken and Buzzy can no longer participate.”

The Redditor then lists the contestants they would like to see return for the “Jeopardy!” All-Star competition. Of course, reigning champion Matt Amodio sits at the very top of the list.

“I’m thinking for Captains: Matt Amodio, Brad Rutter, James Holzhauer, Matt Jackson, Larissa Kelly and Alex Jacob,” the fan says.

“For team members: Roger Craig, Austin Rogers, Colby Burnett, Emma Boettcher, Sam Kavanaugh, Jennifer Quail, Arthur Chu, Julia Collins, Jason Zuffranieri, MacKenzie Jones, Dave Madden, and Ben Ingram.”

‘Jeopardy!’ Fans Want All-Star Competition to Return

More “Jeopardy!” fans share their wish lists for returning competitors.

“Don’t forget Veronica Vichit-Vadakan!” a fan writes.

“I think Francois Barcomb should be also into consideration as a team member since he is the second Teachers Tournament champion to advance in the Tournament of Champion finals,” another fan writes.

Of course, you can’t talk about “Jeopardy!” All-Stars without talking about current champion Matt Amodio. The Ivy League Ph.D. Student continues slashing up the “Jeopardy!” record books with dominant performances.

On Friday, Amodio won his 28th straight episode, as he stares down one of the greatest of all time. He needs four more wins to catch James Holhauer in total consecutive wins. If he is able to pull that off, he will only be looking up at Ken Jennings — the greatest “Jeopardy!” player of all time.

Also, with Friday night’s win, Amodio becomes just the third “Jeopardy!” player to pass the $1 million earning mark. Ken Jennings and Jame Holzhauer are the other two to reach the mark in their initial appearances. Brad Rutter has also collected well over $4 million in overall winnings.

Amodio will attempt to overtake Holzhauer this week on “Jeopardy!”
