‘Jeopardy!’ Fans Stumped on Super Bowl Winning NFL Coach Clue: ‘Not Sports Fans?’

Most viewers of “Jeopardy!” view the contestants lucky enough to appear on the show as pretty intelligent people. However, intelligent people don’t always have all the answers.

This was the case recently when the three contestants on “Jeopardy!” could not answer a question whose answer was the name of a pretty famous professional football coach.

According to a report by Fox News, Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid was the solution to a clue on “Jeopardy!” during an episode in which Katie Couric served as the guest host. The clue was reportedly worth $1,200.

However, when Couric read the clue, none of the contestants could find the answer. According to FoxNews.com, the clue was as follows: “After 21 seasons as a head coach, in 2019 this Kansas City Chiefs leader finally got to enjoy the last game of the season.”

None of the contestants even offered to guess the solution. Not one of them – even though a photo of Reid accompanied the clue. It’s definitely not the best moment in the history of “Jeopardy!”

Even Katie Couric was pretty shocked that none of the contestants could answer – or even tried to answer – the clue.

“Not football fans?” she reportedly said. “We were looking for Andy Reid.”

Football Star Will Soon Serve as Guest Host on ‘Jeopardy!’

Interestingly, a famous football player will soon be hosting “Jeopardy!” That famous player is Aaron Rodgers – the quarterback of the Green Bay Packers. His brief tenure as the guest host on the famous quiz show will begin on April 5.

And, expectations for how Rodgers’ gig as guest host will go are pretty high. One person who expects the Green Bay quarterback to perform well is Brett Favre.

Favre and Rodgers were teammates for the Green Bay Packers for a brief time. So, Favre is definitely familiar with what Rodgers can do. It was during a recent appearance on the “Pardon My Take” podcast that Favre shared his thoughts about Rodgers and his role as a guest host of “Jeopardy!”

The topic was brought up on the podcast when Brett Favre was asked if he would be watching the popular quiz show while Rodgers served as its guest host. Favre has said that he is a fan of “Jeopardy!”

“If I’m not busy. I’ll at least tape it,” Brett Favre said. “I think he’ll do a great job. He’s very well-spoken and calm, cool, and collected.”

Brett Favre also expects great things from Rodgers as the guest host of “Jeopardy!”

“He’ll do a wonderful job,” Favre reportedly said. “Now, will he be an Alex Trebek? I don’t know if there ever will be another Alex Trebek.”

Brett Favre also said he believes having Rodgers as a guest host will give the popular quiz show a boost with fans.

“I’m sure that they’ll get great ratings for that show,” Favre reportedly said.
