Former National Football League defensive back Nathan Vasher was caught off guard while watching an episode of Jeopardy!

Vasher saw his own name on the infamous blue screen while watching Monday’s episode of the hit game show. Reading the clue to the contestants was current guest host Dr. Mehmet Oz, who will remain in the role through the remainder of the week. Oz, the host of “The Dr. Oz Show,” asks contestants a sports trivia question.

“In a 2005 game at Soldier Field, wind blew a 49ers’ field goal wide and this team’s Nathan Vasher returned it 108 yards,” the clue reads.

“Who are the Chicago Bears,” is the correct answer to the Jeopardy! clue featuring Nathan Vasher. The former defensive back from the University of Texas was drafted by the Bears in the fourth of the 2004 NFL draft. He went on to play seven years in the NFL, including six with the Bears.

In a social media post, Vasher, now a coach at the University of Texas, says the moment took him by surprise. He also compliments Dr. Oz for his performance on the show during his hosting tenure.

“Watching Jeopardy! and surprised to see my name on the screen,” Vasher says in the social media post. “Great Job today Dr. Oz.”

Jeopardy! Rolling Right Along With Guest hosts

Oz will continue hosting the show through the remainder of the week with his last day coming Friday. NFL superstar and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is set to take over the gig on Monday, April 5. He will guest host the show for two weeks before departing.

Rodgers will be followed by journalists Anderson Cooper and Bill Whitaker. Actress Mayim Bialik, journalist Savannah Guthrie and Dr. Sanjay Gupta will also receive a turn as Jeopardy! guest host.

Oz is the show’s fourth celebrity guest host since the passing of game show icon Alex Trebek. Former contestant Ken Jennings, executive producer Mike Richards and journalist Katie Couric have also filled the role.

Each of the hosts is raising money for a charity of their choice. Dr. Oz has already raised more than $100,000 for Healthcorps, Inc.
