Last night “Jeopardy!” fans got to see yet another person take on guest-hosting responsibilities.

Mayim Bialik, an author, actress, and neuroscientist, started her two weeks on the show Monday night. She was so excited about the opportunity that she broke one of her normal acting traditions.

“So I never watch myself back on camera. Like… ever. But I did tonight with my boys because, well, it’s @Jeopardy! Just wanted to share my thoughts & say thank you to those who tuned in!!” she wrote on Twitter.

While she usually avoids watching herself on the TV screen in shows like “The Big Bang Theory” and “Call Me Kat,” “Jeopardy!” was an exception.

Mayim Bialik’s First Night On ‘Jeopardy!’

Bialik may not like to watch herself on the screen, but her two kids do. She stated in the Twitter video that one of the first things they criticized was her voice. She explained, “That was me trying to put on my best ‘Jeopardy!’ voice. I was trying to sound friendly and cerebral. But, also, I did those ‘Jeopardy!’ episodes right after I wrapped ‘Call Me Kat’ and that is what the burnout sounds like.”

Bialik is critical of herself, but she did say she liked her blazer and that her kids didn’t have too many critical things to say. She filmed the 10 episodes for the show in two days.

“It was very surreal to see myself there and I don’t know if I’ll get to watch every night, but I’d say it’s the only thing I enjoyed watching myself in, mostly because I’m barely on camera,” Bialik revealed.

As millions of “Jeopardy!” fans, and even Bialik and her family tuned in, what was the general consensus regarding her first night? Those who responded to her Twitter video had generally positive things to say.

“Classy, articulate, friendly yet professional, smooth pacing, well-placed comments… you just looked and sounded great across the board! I think you achieved everything you hoped you would, and you were a credit to the show. Mazel tov! Hope you are the new permanent host!” one Twitter user wrote.

It seems like after each guest host people write saying they’d enjoy seeing that individual in the full-time gig. Someone else states that she seems to get comfortable right away.

One person even noted that Trebek would have liked her, “As a lifelong viewer of ‘Jeopardy!’, I thought you did a great job and was impressed with the speedy, unencumbered flow of the two J! rounds tonight. Pretty sure Trebek would have been happy with your work! Keep it up!”

Would Bialik Take On The Full-Time Job?

Mayim Bialik seems to be generally liked as a host of “Jeopardy!” so far.

Would the actress and neuroscientist ever consider becoming the host of the show on a permanent basis or does she have too many other responsibilities?

“That was before I even got there, and then my experience of actually filming was so incredibly gratifying, and I don’t really know how to explain it other than to say it really felt like being home. It felt like these are my people, the way that the show is run, the way that We understand the material and how to move through this show it just felt really, really natural, and it was terrific. I cried. I cried after my two days there … didn’t want to leave,” Bialik said to USA Today.

Although she occupies her time on “Call Me Kat” on Fox, as well as her other academic and literary duties, Bialik is not going to turn down an offer to be on the show.

She said, “I will say that for me personally, and academically speaking, this is a really, really, really lovely place that I felt so comfortable, and was really honored to be part of it in any way. But obviously feel very strongly that if people find me tolerable, this is a dream job.”

Add her to the list of people hoping for the legendary dream job.
