Jeopardy! champ Ken Jennings is looking forward to the time when we can all be closer than six feet apart. It has been over a year since we’ve been able to move about freely. Since this time last year, the shadow of the pandemic has darkened almost every aspect of life. Live music was absent. Social gatherings of any kind are now taboo. Let’s not even think about what it has done to the stability of our local dive bars.

Luckily, those days may be coming close to an end. Vaccines entered the market pretty quickly. By now, thousands of people have lined up to get one version of the inoculation or another. Everybody from your local store clerk to stars like Willie Nelson and Loretta Lynn have gotten theirs. It seems that Ken Jennings is on that list as well.

In a recent tweet, the Jeopardy! champ implies that he has had his first round of the vaccine. At the same time, he’s looking forward to being fully immunized after his second dose. He did all that in classic Ken Jennings fashion – with a joke.

The tweet features an image of a cartoon Spock with his arms around the shoulders of two other members of Star Fleet. The caption reads, “When me and the boys get our second doses.”

Ken Jennings Has Been Looking Forward to This for Months

Ken Jennings has been looking forward to being vaccinated for months now. In fact, if you crawl through his Twitter, you can see that he has been posting about getting his jab since late last fall. Many Americans started hoping for a vaccine about this time last year. In fact, it was a hot topic almost as soon as the pandemic slammed on the world’s brakes.

Back in November, he tweeted about how he would select which vaccine to take. In that post, he jokingly said he would take whichever shot had the funniest Super Bowl ad. Unfortunately, none of the vaccine options had a particularly side-splitting TV spot on the night of the big game. So, Ken Jennings had to find another way to pick.

As the weeks dragged on, it seems like Ken Jennings got a little less picky about which shot he would take. In December, he shared an announcement from LAX that the first doses of the vaccine had arrived in California. In the caption, the trivia ace said that he would take whichever version came to Burbank.
