The friendly, and hilarious, rivalry between two former Jeopardy! contestants continues in a most entertaining fashion.

Considered two of the top Jeopardy! champions of all time, Ken Jennings and James Holzhauer love to rib each other. The two intellectual giants often use social media to take “shots” at each other in a comical manner. Both men have ruled over the game show culture in dominating fashion and use their quick wit against each other. It is all in good fun to both guys and makes for a heavily entertaining back and forth for the rest of us. If you’re a fan of off-the-cuff humor, adding the two Jeopardy! legends to your social media will provide you with more than a few laughs.

On Saturday, it would be Jennings’s turn to rib Holzhauer as “The Chase” is set to return in the near future. The former Jeopardy! guest host sets his sights on Holzhauer’s role with the show and gets in a nice barb.

“The Chase is back with all of your favorites,” Jennings writes in the social media post. “And James Holzhauer!”

Without a doubt, Holzhauer is a favorite among the game show watchers after his successful Jeopardy! run. Jennings was replying to a tweet from The Chase’s Twitter account announcing the return of the show.

“Ken “The Professor” Jennings is bringing the lessons to the Chaser chair” the tweet proclaims. “Tomorrow on the season premiere of The Chase!”

Jeopardy! Icons Have a Friendly and Funny Rivalry

What adds to the hilarity of Jennings’ tweet is that he also gets in a shot in on Holzhauer in the brief video. The 74-game Jeopardy! winner sits down in the “chaser’s chair” with a few things to say.

“I am sorry that I couldn’t deliver you James,” he says in the video. “But, you must be so relieved to see someone who has cleaned his clock on national television.”

The comment draws a round of laughter for everyone on set, including Holzhauer and fellow Jeopardy! champion Brad Rutter. Despite Jennings getting a verbal jab, it would be chaser Mark Labbett getting in the final word. Labbett is better known to fans of the show as “The Beast.”

“Well, you haven’t cleaned mine,” The Beast says while sticking his tongue out at Jennings. The comment temporarily silenced Jennings as contestants prepared to begin the game.

Jennings, 47, is coming off a six-week stint as the guest host of Jeopardy! and is thought to be under consideration for the permanent role.
