When it comes to the game of “Jeopardy!” few have accomplished more than former contestant Buzzy Cohen. Even fewer have accomplished more than fellow former contestant Ken Jennings, who is considered the greatest “Jeopardy!” player of all time.

The two “Jeopardy!” standouts have a strong friendship that also extends to fellow Jeopardy! players James Holzhauer and Brad Rutter. You can often see this group mucking it up on social media, providing laughs for each other and their followers. While most known for their intellect, Jennings and Cohen also have robust senses of humor. One example of their off-the-path humor took place Tuesday when the “Jeopardy!” champs debate another game show appearance.

It all started when comedian and television personality Leslie Jones took to Twitter to promote her new show “Supermarket Sweep.” The easily excitable and hilarious Jones put out a link to a casting call for her game show. “Supermarket Sweep” is a reboot of the popular 1990’s series that sees pairs compete for prize money based on grocery store knowledge.

Naturally, Cohen and Jennings humorously consider if they would have a shot at making the show.

“Hey Ken Jennings,” the former “Jeopardy!” guest host says in the social media post. “Should we do it?”

Jennings is quick with a hilarious request if he is to partake in the game show.

“Can I ride in the front of the cart,” Jennings hilariously responds.

The social media exchange between the two “Jeopardy!” icons drew a round of chuckles from their followers. A few even respond with their own witty remarks.

“If you do that then there won’t be any room for the giant hams and parmesan cheese wedges,” a fan writes.

‘Jeopardy’ Icons Serve As Guest Hosts

Ken Jennings rose to fame in 2004 when he won 74 straight episodes of “Jeopardy!” a record that still stands. Just last year he was crowned the Greatest Jeopardy! Champion of all Time after winning a tournament. He beat out Rutter and Holzhauer to win the coveted title. In all his game show wins, Jennings has collected more than $4.5 million during his career.

Buzzy Cohen wasn’t quite as successful on “Jeopardy!” as Jennings was. He won nine episodes of the hit game show in 2016 and went on to win the 2017 Tournament of Champions. He returned in 2019 to captain a “Jeopardy!” all-star team. While he was a success on the show, Cohen is mostly known for his quirky charm, interesting wardrobe selections, and his superior wit. The late Alex Trebek once deemed Cohen as “Mr. Personality” for his repeated attempts to make Trebek laugh.

Both “Jeopardy!” icons served as guest hosts earlier this year.
