“I think the dog misses me” says Jeopardy!‘s Ken Jennings with this hysterical snapshot of one very needy little pup’s tail.
What would we do without our dogs? The phrase “Man’s best friend” exists for a reason, and it looks as if Ken Jennings has himself a prime example living in his home.
Combine this with Ken’s penchant for excellent, old-school tweets, and you’ve got a recipe for yet another chuckle from Jeopardy!‘s all-time champ.
“I think the dog misses me. (Not trapped under the door, just standing guard.),” Jennings posts to Twitter. Within, we see a snapshot of not his dog, but just said dog’s tail as the loyal canine stands guard outside the door.
Jeopardy!‘s Jennings isn’t alone in this phenomenon, either. Ken Jennings‘ fans are responding with their own stories of needy pups.
“I used to get the front paw. She wanted in and wanted me to know it,” fan Karen responds.
“My two stand (sit) guard in front of me. Always on duty. Unending love!” echoes Sylvia, with photographic evidence.
Follower Brenda adds “You were brilliant on the Chase!!” Hey, wait, Brenda – that’s not what we’re talking about, here!
Perhaps the best response, however, comes courtesy of follower Linda, who says: “I never go anywhere alone. Even if I want to…”
She includes a priceless photo of what looks to be her entire army’s worth of Irish wolfhounds:

Talk about a pack you don’t want to argue with!
‘Jeopardy!’s Ken Jennings has the Best Relationship with His Dogs
As if we needed another reason to love ol’ Ken, his relationship with his dogs has become a Twitter highlight. For starters, the Jeopardy! icon recently revealed that “Thanks to this tweet, I now say ‘Hello boyos’ every time I walk into a room where our dogs are.”
The aforementioned tweet includes a now-iconic quote from Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, in which the infamous Jar Jar Binks says “Hello Boyos” approximately six dozen times.
Then, courtesy of another day-brightening Twitter update, the Jeopardy! icon shows just how relatable (and unrelatable) of a dog-loving genius he can be.
“Our dog will always come back to her food dish 2-3x right after she eats even tho on some level she knows the food is gone…” Jennings begins in the tweet. “This is me hopefully trying “finna” every couple weeks in the NYT Spelling Bee.”
For those unfamiliar, Jeopardy!’s Ken Jennings is also as much of a proponent of the New York Times Spelling Bee Game, called “Queen Bee”, as he is his own pups.
The Jeopardy! champ frequently posts updates from his playthroughs, too. So we’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: if you’re not following Ken Jennings on Twitter – do so!
