Former Jeopardy! champion Ken Jennings was on a roll Sunday night as he shared multiple amusing posts on his Twitter account.
Following an earlier funny tweet referencing a Looney Tunes cartoon, Jennings turned his focus inward. He retweeted a GIF from another game show he’s a part of. These days, he’s still a consultant who works closely with Jeopardy!, which made him famous during his record 74-game win streak. But he also works as a Chaser on the hit game show The Chase on ABC.
Jennings’ job as a Chaser is similar to his goal as a contestant on Jeopardy!. Yet instead of answering questions to win money, as a Chaser, his goal is to answer questions so other The Chase contestants don’t win money. The contestants basically have to answer more trivia questions than Jennings. Yea, good luck with that.
In fact, Jennings isn’t shy about his expansive knowledge and he doesn’t mind bragging on occasion about his intelligence. One recent The Chase contestant is presumably studying to be a neurologist. Their expertise focuses on the brain and nervous system. That’s all the information Jennings needed with his quick wit.
“Since you want to study the brain, here’s a chance to study one of the greats… mine,” Jennings hilariously told the game show’s contestant.
The former Jeopardy! champ shared the game show’s post and added a sarcastic caption. He wrote, “At least he’s modest,” making fun of his boastful comment to The Chase contestant.
‘Jeopardy!’ Champion Ken Jennings Posts Amusing Looney Tunes Criticism
As mentioned before, Ken Jennings was on a hot streak tonight with a series of hilarious tweets. Except for a bit earlier in the evening he had his aim set on on a classic cartoon he was watching at home.
Everyone remembers Looney Tunes episodes from their childhood. The classic cartoons have been a staple of viewing for generations of kids over the decades. One of the most popular duos in the cartoon television series is of Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner. Each episode basically has the same exact plot. The coyote chases down the roadrunner, but never once has he ever succeeded.
While watching the Looney Tunes on HBO Max, Jennings noticed a flaw in one of the coyote’s inventions. Jennings shared a screenshot of Wile E. Coyote’s “Do-It-Yourself Explosive Camera Kit” blueprint. It seems like a decent plan although everyone in the world knows it didn’t help the coyote catch the roadrunner. But the Jeopardy! champ amusingly pointed out his biggest issue with the blueprints.
In the blueprint’s details it states “(Fool Your Friends) – Be Popular!” Since whoever uses it would be shooting their “friends” with a hidden gun, Jennings brings up a fair point when he simply questioned, “how on earth would this make you popular?”
