It isn’t every day an NFL record is set. However, Jeopardy! Icon James Holzhauer and everyone else watching the Ravens saw just that. Down to the Detroit Lions 16-17, Baltimore made a remarkable play in order to take the win away from the home team.

With time expiring in the game, the Ravens lined up for a field goal. The game rested in Justin Tucker’s 31-year-old leg. As one of the best kickers in the league, you have to feel good about your chances. Now, this wasn’t a regular kick. It was a 66-yard kick. Almost unthinkable. However, after hitting the crossbar the ball flipped in and the kick was good. A brand new NFL record.

Holzhauer’s reaction on Twitter was perfect.

While the Jeopardy! legend celebrated along with the rest of the bettors who had the Ravens ML, Lions fans did not have such a great time. It seems that they can’t get on the right track. Also, this wasn’t the only record-breaking attempt by a kicker this afternoon.

Arizona Cardinals kicker, Matt Prater, attempted to hit a 68-yard field goal as the first half came to an end. However, he did not have the success Tucker had. His kick fell short, into the arms of a Jacksonville Jaguars return man. That was taken 109 yards to the other side of the field for a touchdown. Yikes. The Cardinals did take the win 31-19, though. So, not too much to worry about as Prater.

James Holzhauer is a professional sports gambler. So, he has a bit of insight most of us don’t. Despite that, I don’t think even he could have predicted this game ending on a 66-yard crossbar bounce. That’s the kind of kicks you start making in season 10 of your NCAA 2014 Dynasty. It is not something you expect to see in a real football game, let alone the NFL.

‘Jeopardy!’ Great James Holzhauer Likes to Troll

If you haven’t picked up on it by now, James Holzhauer likes to troll on Twitter. He is a polarizing figure, and you can tell by his replies. Especially on sports topics like the Ravens tweet above. Unfortunately, sports can bring out the ugliness in people. However, that won’t stop the Jeopardy! champ from taking to the timeline.

When he isn’t tweeting about sports events, he is usually tweeting about other people in the Jeopardy! world. That includes current champion, Matt Amodio. Amodio and Holzhauer had a funny exchange the other day. While it was all in good fun, the jabs can come from seemingly nowhere from the pro gambler. He has built quite a reputation on social media.

Hopefully, with the Ravens win, no one catches a stray from Holzhauer today. It is Sunday after all, can’t we all just get along and put the Twitter fingers away?
