‘Jeopardy!’ Legend Ken Jennings is Every Pet Owner with New Post About His Dog

The Jeopardy! champ‘s intro may be infinitely relatable to us dog owners, but what follows is something only his fellow geniuses will relate to.

Where on the interwebs will you find a man so flawlessly capable of mashing pedestrian dog ownership into the same tweet as dominating the NYT Spelling Bee game?

“What is Ken Jennings’ Twitter?”

Correct! With another day-brightening Thursday update, the Jeopardy! icon is showing just how relatable (and unrelatable) of a genius he can be.

“Our dog will always come back to her food dish 2-3x right after she eats even tho on some level she knows the food is gone…” Jennings begins. “This is me hopefully trying “finna” every couple weeks in the NYT Spelling Bee.”

For those unfamiliar, Jeopardy!’s Ken Jennings is a big proponent and player of the New York Times Spelling Bee Game called “Queen Bee.”

Followers of his Twitter mastery will know, too, that Ken is also a master of said game. The champ frequently posts updates from his playthroughs, and in March found himself on the precipice of ultimate glory.

“I am on an UNPRECEDENTED three-day streak of perfect Spelling Bee scores and today I’ve been one word short all day and it’s killing me,” Jennings wrote on Twitter earlier this year.

So close, Ken. So close. To what, exactly, we’re not sure. But fellow players of NYT’s hit spelling bee game will know how difficult it can be to master it on this level.

And Then There’s Ken Jennings, ‘Jeopardy!’s Most Relatable Dog Owner…

Need proof? The way Ken Jennings greets his dogs is sure to catch on with fellow Jeopardy! and STAR WARS fans. Though, brace yourselves, STAR WARS purists: prequel quote incoming. Growing up with these films, I can confirm that I, too, also use this line often. And yes, this includes the pups!

“Thanks to this tweet, I now say “Hello boyos” every time I walk into a room where our dogs are,” Jennings tweeted a while back. He includes the aforementioned tweet, a now-iconic quote from ‘Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.’

What is “Hello Boyos?” would’ve been a more fun, ‘Jeopardy!’ style reveal. Jennings’ straight-away reveal, however, prevents this author from doing so. Tried it. Didn’t work.

STAR WARS fans loathing for Jar Jar Binks aside, his signature “boyos” catchphrase makes for infinite quotability, indeed. For this lifelong fan of all things “Galaxy Far, Far Away,” however, I prefer the elongated version from the latter half of the film: “Hello there me’a boyos. Me’sa back!”

And if you want to mash all of this together, check out the one time Ken Jennings was furious over NYT’s Spelling Bee Game not accepting ‘Chewbacca’ as an answer.
