It appears there’s playful heat between “Jeopardy!” champions Ken Jennings and James Holzhauer happened on a recent episode of “The Chase.”
For a little context, Jennings, Holzhauer, and fellow “Jeopardy!” champion Brad Rutter have joined up for an updated version of the Game Show Network’s “The Chase” on ABC.
One contestant happened to have Holzhauer help her play the game. At one point, host Sara Haines looks up and asks Holzhauer how he thought the contestant did.
“Really? The Backstreet Boys? They are like Ken’s age,” he answered.
“It’s funny you mentioned Ken ’cause aren’t you a fan of Ken?” Haines asked the contestant.
Contestant Says Sister Started Fake Ken Jennings Fan Club
“I am!” she replies. “My sister mostly. She started a Fake Ken Jennings fan club when she was in high school with her best friend.”
“So, you’re going to be letting them down by telling them you only met James,” Haines said. “I know,” the contestant replied.
Then the camera flips over to Jennings and Rutter watching from another studio.
Jennings said, “You can start a real one.”
“I’m a big fan of Fake Ken Jennings too,” Rutter said.
“I think you’re a member of the Fake Ken Jennings Fan Club,” Jennings said to Rutter.
After all that banter, the “real” Ken Jennings took to Twitter and, well, his response is below.
Ken Jennings Accomplishes Hilarious ‘Bucket List’ Item
Meanwhile, Jennings took on the monumental task of being the temporary host of “Jeopardy!” right after Alex Trebek passed away.
While being one of the show’s most successful players and then hosting it may have been on his ‘Bucket List,” it appears other items are included as well.
In a tweet, Jennings wrote, “I know I have a weird bucket list but ‘Jackée publicly denounces my Jackée impression’ was close to the top.”
“Jeopardy!” fans have watched Jennings turn his 74-game winning streak and $3,370,700 cash prize into further success. Ken Jennings has done pretty well for himself, that’s for sure.
