‘Jeopardy!’ Legend Ken Jennings Takes Subtle Jab at Game Show Opponent

“Jeopardy!” legend Ken Jennings is throwing subtle shade at one of his recent game show opponents during an exchange on Twitter. Not only is Jennings a master of trivia, but he’s also quick-witted as his social media account often proves.

Sean Thomason recently competed against Jennings on an upcoming episode of “Master Minds,” which airs this Friday. The gameshow tasks contestants to compete against trivia experts in the hopes of winning a cash prize. Since it premiered in 2019, Jennings has featured regularly on the show. He also subtly dissed Thomason during a recent Twitter exchange.

Thomason tagged Jennings in a post, mentioning that they were going to be on the show together. He wrote, “I’m a contestant on this Friday’s episode of Master Minds, on Game Show Network! Watch me attempt to do trivia against major brains like @KenJennings (who I understand is also associated with some other trivia programs?)”

In Jennings defense, Thomason jokingly didn’t give him the respect that he deserved. After-all, Jennings currently holds the title as the Greatest of All Time on “Jeopardy!”

In response, Jennings coldly wrote, “lol, that was you???”

The contestant digitally laughed off Jennings’ comment and confirmed that they competed against each other. Of course, Thomason hasn’t been the only one in Jennings’ crosshairs. He often uses social media to share bits of biting sarcasm. For instance, he called out Tom Brady after the Super Bowl and threw his own name into the GOAT debate.

Of course, Jennings can be thoughtful and kind on the social media platform as well. Jennings recently shared a heartfelt tribute to Alex Trebek and thanked the game show for allowing him to guest host.

“That’s a wrap on my six weeks of @Jeopardy guest hosting. Thanks for watching, thanks for your patience with a tough learning curve…and, as always, thank you Alex,” Jennings wrote.

Jennings was the first in a series of guest hosts to take over hosting duties. Production opted for a revolving door of guests rather than immediately find a permanent host after Trebek passed away last year. The host was a staple in gameshows for decades. Jennings guest hosted from Jan. 11 to Feb. 19.

But if fans had their way, Jennings would be stepping back into hosting duties permanently.
