On Monday (November 8th), Matt Amodio took to Twitter to hilariously comment on Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik’s ‘Tag-In’ during the latest episode of Jeopardy!

“I trust the only reason today’s episode didn’t start with a literal [Ken Jennings]/[Mayim Bialik] tag-in is Jeopardy’s commitment to covid safety,” the former contestant declared on his Twitter account. He also had a gif of a wrestling match.

Amodio raised a total of $1,519,601 during his 39 appearances on Jeopardy! He has the second-longest winning streak in the show’s history, behind Jennings. He is also the tenth highest-earning contestant of all time. Amodio lost to Jonathan Fisher at the beginning of October 2021.

Jennings and Bialik teamed up for tonight’s episode of Jeopardy! to host on the anniversary of Alex Trebek’s death. Jennings will also be temporarily taking over for Bialik in the upcoming episodes. Fans obviously shared their excitement on Twitter. One wrote, “I can’t wait to watch Ken Jennings host Jeopardy! again!”

Jennings tweeted the news on Sunday (November 7th) by writing, “I’m tagging in from Mayim Bialik and hosting some Jeopardy! against stating this week. Always an honor and a real joy to be back where it all started. (Also, it’s been a minute so I hope I’m not too rusty out there.)”

Amodio then commented, “Just as a reminder, I select the first clue to open the game.”

Matt Amodio Calls Out Former ‘Jeopardy’ Guest Host Aaron Rodgers Amid Vaccine Controversy

Over the weekend, Matt Amodio also shared his thoughts on Twitter about former Jeopardy guest host Aaron Rodgers’ vaccine controversy. Rodgers, who previously stated that he was immunized, revealed last week that he not only tested positive for the coronavirus but also has not been vaccinated.

While retweeting a quote from Rodgers’ recent interview on  The Pat McAfee Show about the NFL player being a “free thinker” and him believing strongly in bodily autonomy as well as the ability to make choices for his body, Amodio wrote, “Packers left tackle doesn’t protect Aaron Rodgers from blitzing linebacker, citing bodily autonomy.”

But Amodio wasn’t quite done with his comments about the former Jeopardy! guest host. He also wrote, “Usually being stupid on Jeopardy! only costs 1. You 2. Money, but he put 1. Other people’s 2. Health in danger.”

Amodio wasn’t the only Jeopardy! star to criticize the NFL quarterback. James Holzhauer also condemned Rodgers, as well as Dr. Oz’s belief in “pseudoscience.” He wrote, “Dr. Oz: I’m the only peddler of pseudoscience to ever guest host Jeopardy! Aaron Rodgers: Hold on a minute playa.”

Rodgers previously justified his comments by stating he did not lie about his vaccination status. He said during the time he said he was immunized there was a “witch hunt” going on across the league and those who were not vaccinated were targeted.

Rodgers then revealed his plan was to just say that he was immunized in order to avoid scrutiny.
