‘Jeopardy!’: Mayim Bialik Debuts as Guest Host, Here’s What Fans Are Saying

Actress and neuroscientist Mayim Bialik got her “Jeopardy!” hosting tenure off on the right foot with the debut of her first episode.

Bialik is mostly known for her work on television shows “Blossom” and “Big Bang Theory” but she also is a star in the world of science. She obtained a Doctorate in Neuroscience from UCLA in 2007 and has described herself as a “science nerd” before. When it came time for the bright “Jeopardy!” lights to shine on her, Bialik reflected on what she knows best — and that is science. In her opening monologue, the actress begins her hosting stint by discussing her love and appreciation of science. Bialik says she hopes to pay tribute to late host Alex Trebek by bringing dignity and respect to the hosting position.

“Mayim Bialik kicks off her first show as guest host by sharing her love of science and appreciation for Jeopardy!” the social media post from “Jeopardy!” proclaims.

“Jeopardy!” fans took an instant liking to Bialik as evidenced by the overwhelming positivity her appearance generated. She certainly appears to be a natural behind the “Jeopardy!” lectern and kept the show’s sometimes frantic pace intact. Several fans of the show took to social media after her debut episode to rave about her performance. It is easy to see that the sitcom actress is already starting to gather support.
