On Wednesday night’s episode of Jeopardy!, the game show got a helping hand from NASCAR driver Brad Keselowski who presented a clue for the contestants.

During the Double Jeopardy! Round tonight, Keselowski made an appearance in the reoccurring “POTPOURRI” category. The classic category is a mixed bag of unrelated questions compiled into one group. The race car driver chimed in from Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the $1,200 clue.

“I’m Brad Keselowski; the pit crew guy hauling a 20-pound piece of equipment to help change my four tires is called this, also the last name of an X-Men actor,” he said to the three contestants.

Contestant John buzzed in and answered correctly: “What is a jackman?” For those that don’t know, a jackman is an integral part of each NASCAR team’s pit crew. Yes, he obviously mans the jack that quickly lifts the car, but he also assists the rear tire changer during pit stops.

In addition, for those that aren’t up to date on their comic book knowledge, Keselowski is referencing actor Hugh Jackman. He’s played the superhero Wolverine, who is part of the X-Men, for years.

Brad Keselowski’s NASCAR team posted earlier today on Twitter about the driver’s Jeopardy appearance.

“What is…Brad Keselowski?” Team Penske tweeted. “Watch Jeopardy! TONIGHT for a special clue featuring Brad Keselowski!”

‘Jeopardy!’ Contestants Fail to Identify the Closing Lines of the Gettysburg Address

President Abraham Lincoln was likely rolling over in his grave last night after three Jeopardy! contestants failed him badly. During yesterday’s episode, one day after Memorial Day, the three contestants failed to recognize the closing lines of The Gettysburg Address.

Once again, the contestants were in the Double Jeopardy! Round. While answering clues in the “QUOTATIONS” category, a contestant chose the second clue for $800.

“‘Government of the people, by the people, for the people’ is from the end of this brief but powerful speech,” host Mayim Bialik read aloud.

It’s only a segment of one of the most famous speeches in American history. You’d think at least one of the three intelligent Jeopardy! players would buzz in and answer correctly. You’d be wrong. Instead you could hear crickets in the studio. Of course if the game show shared the opening lines of the famous speech, it may have been a different story.

“Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth, upon this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.”

However, these are supposed to be some of the brightest minds around competing on Jeopardy!. Even though they shared a less famous portion of the speech, I’m not sure we can give them a pass this time.
