Get ready “Jeopardy!” fans – a new guest host is about to make his way to your television screens!

That host is Bill Whitaker. And on Sunday (May 2, 2021), the Instagram account for the iconic quiz show shared a photo of him from the set.

“Reporting for duty as our next guest host: legendary broadcaster @BillWhitakerCBS!” the accompanying caption read. You can check out the photo below.

Episodes of “Jeopardy!” with Bill Whitaker as the guest host have not even aired. However, this did not stop fans from expressing their joy to have him on the show.

One of those fans is a coworker of Whitaker’s at CBS. That coworker is Errol Barnett. “We’re so proud!” Barnett posted on Instagram on Sunday.

“So excited!” another user shared.

“Looking forward to the next two weeks with Bill!” an additional post read.

With one comment, another fan asked a question that has to be on the mind of many fans of the show: “So many good guest hosts! How to decide?????” this post read. Obviously, it is a reference to who will be chosen as the show’s full-time host. Who will indeed?

Bill Whitaker Begins Hosting ‘Jeopardy!’ on Monday, May 3

According to the official “Jeopardy!” website, Whitaker’s brief tenure as guest host of the quiz show will begin on Monday, May 3. His run will continue until. Friday, May 14.

Coming after Bill Whitaker’s appearance on “Jeopardy!” will a special Tournament of Champions. This event will air from May 17 until May 28. It will be hosted by former “Jeopardy!” champion Buzzy Cohen.

After the Tournament of Champions, future hosts will include Mayim Bialik, Savannah Guthrie, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, George Stephanopoulos, Robin Roberts, LeVar Burton, David Faber, and Joe Buck.
