For several decades now, the hit game show “Jeopardy!” has managed to combine entertainment, competition and education into an art form.

“Jeopardy!” is one of the most-watched and beloved quiz shows of all time as it strives for intellectual competitiveness. The show goes to great depths to find clues for its contestants to solve. A set of clues from Thursday’s episode took viewers to one of New York’s most famous locations. Falling under the category of “Broadway Musicals by Setting” Thursday’s player received clues regarding some of Broadway’s biggest hits. Current “Jeopardy!” guest host George Stephanopoulos currently stands behind the game show’s podium. The longtime journalist revealed each clue in the Broadway category for contestants to solve.

As it often does, “Jeopardy!” took to social media after the episode to test the knowledge of loyal watchers. The clues are presented on the show’s Instagram page in the same manner in which they’re presented to contestants. Think you can solve these Broadway-themed clues?

There are five clues falling under the Broadway musical category, ranging from easier to more difficult. Test your Broadway knowledge by attempting to solve these clues. These clues as contestants to name famous Broadway pieces by the setting that they occur in.

‘Jeopardy!’ Take Crack at Broadway Clues

The first clue deals with a very popular Broadway musical that practically everyone knows.”The land of OZ before and after Dorothy dropped in,” the first clue states.

“What is Wicked?” is the correct response to the first clue.

“A junkyard on the night of the Jellicle Ball,” the second clue states.”What is Cats,” is the response for the win.

“The small village of Anatevka in Russia,” is the third clue. “What is Fiddler on the Roof?” is the right answer to solve the clue.

“In an around the royal palace in Bangkok in the 1860s,” is clue number four. “What is The King and I?” solves the clue.

“Mushnik’s Skid Row Florist,” is the last clue in the category. “What is The Little Shop of Horrors,” is the winning response.

The “Jeopardy!” Instagram drew many replies with fans taking their best shot at answering the clues. Many social media users were able to get all five of the Broadway clues.

“I am proud to say I knew every one of these!” a “Jeopardy!” fan writes in the comments. “Cats and Little Shop are favorites of mine.”

Thursday’s episode was won by Tyler Vandenburg, a Marine Officer from Washington D.C. Vandenburg is heating up as he has now won two games in a row. He’s racked up an impressive $41,400 in winning through his two episodes. He will defend his hot streak against two new contestants this evening.
