Jeopardy! shared a photo of Mayim Bialik taking an on-stage selfie on Thursday’s episode. Bialik is one of the multiple celebrity guest hosts that have featured on the show. Previous hosts include everyone from Anderson Cooper to Aaron Rodgers.

Bialik starred in The Big Bang Theory as Amy Farrah Fowler, an incredibly smart neurobiologist. Perhaps one reason Mayim Bialik played the character so well is that she has her own doctorate degree in neurobiology.

Her doctorate may have benefitted her when playing a character with the same doctorate, but now it’s benefitting her as a host on Jeopardy! People are loving Mayim’s playful nature and quick wit as a host.

“She’s been such a great host so far,” one Twitter user commented under the Jeopardy! tweet.

“I agree! One of the better guest hosts on :),” another user replied.

“She is our favourite guest host so far!! Alex is a tough act to follow,” another person said.

Many say her enthusiasm combined with her smarts would make her a great replacement host, but others like Aaron Rodgers are also closely eyeing that spot. Not only that, but multiple other guests are yet to host.

Mayim Bialik Thinks She’d Make a Great Permanent ‘Jeopardy!’ Host

Not all of the guest hosts so far have been eyeing a permanent hosting job, but Bialik definitely has.

“When I think about the way that I was raised — you know I was raised by two public school teachers, who were documentary filmmakers and artists. I was taught to learn as much as I could about everything. So, honestly, it’s really that, that I feel drives me,” Bialik said in an exclusive interview for the show.

The actress certainly lives a life that fully celebrates both the arts and sciences. It’s something that makes her uniquely qualified for a position on Jeopardy!

“I think that being an actor and a performer is really, really helpful for this but also being able to articulate all of these things — and I didn’t do it perfectly — but being able to kind of think on your feet and think fast and move quickly, that’s really just from being raised by my awesome parents,” she finished.

For those who are itching to know who the next full-time host will be, you won’t have to wait too long. Jeopardy! legend Ken Jennings has hinted that they’ll definitely try and name a more permanent host before the start of next season.

For now, many fans have found enjoyment in trying out new guest hosts each week and seeing who works and who doesn’t quite make a good fit. For many, Mayim Bialik fits right in.
