‘Jeopardy!’: Video Shows Guest Host Aaron Rodgers’ ‘Pre-Show Rituals’

Aaron Rodgers has burst onto the Jeopardy! scene in glorious fashion. Consequently, the MVP quarterback from the Green Bay Packers is showing off just how talented he really is.

In the first episode of his guest-hosting gig, Rodgers got expertly trolled by the returning champion. For those who understood the reference in Final Jeopardy!, it doesn’t get much better than that. In fact, it left Rodgers speechless for a moment.

Nonetheless, Rodgers has been working very hard to be at his best on the show. Jeopardy! shared a tweet about the guest host’s pre-show routine.

Aaron Rodgers Has Been Working Exceptionally Hard to be Prepared For “Jeopardy!”

Jeopardy! tapes a ton of episodes every year to keep their regular viewing schedule for viewers. During the height of quarantine, the show actually ran out of unaired shows. So, the game show began airing old favorites.

Rodgers won Celebrity Jeopardy! in 2015, and many fans of Jeopardy! feel he belongs as a guest host. Rodgers said in a recent interview with Pat McAfee, that he would love to be the permanent host. Of course, that comes with the caveat that he finishes playing football first.

Nonetheless, it goes to show just how seriously Rodgers took his guest-hosting gig. Rodgers also spoke with ESPN about how much he has been preparing for the role. During that interview, he notes that his preparation for Jeopardy! was intense.

“I took pages and pages and pages of notes. I wrote down every affirmative that he said to any type of clue. And I wrote down how he would respond if they didn’t get it right. I wrote down beat points of the show. I wrote down all the different ways he would take it to break. Additionally, I wrote down the stuff that he said coming out of break. Literally, I studied for this like no other. I wanted to absolutely just crush it.”

So, with his preparation in mind for the show, watch a short Jeopardy! behind-the-scenes look. While it doesn’t detail everything about his preparedness, it is a glimpse into the work Rodgers did to make the show awesome.
