In the Tuesday (June 15, 2021) episode of “Jeopardy!” one of the categories of questions was “Face the Performer.”
The category included a question that involved a popular comedy, one of its guest stars, and a pretty funny quote. It was a contestant named Erin who chose the $1,000 clue in this category during Tuesday’s episode.
Current guest host Savannah Guthrie then read the clue. It stated: “On ‘Parks & Rec,’ this performer told Amy Poehler, ‘You can trust me because I don’t care enough about you to lie.'” The clue was also accompanied by a picture of the actress in question.
Erin then responded: “Who is Kathryn Hahn?” She was correct, which Guthrie confirmed.
“You got it,” the “Jeopardy!” guest host said. “That was a slam!”
According to IMDb.com, Kathryn Hahn appeared in 10 episodes of “Parks and Recreation.” Her time on the show took place between 2012 and 2015. Hahn played the character, Jennifer Barkley, in the comedy about the antics of public officials of a town in Indiana.
If Hahn looks familiar to you, that shouldn’t be a surprise. She has appeared in many films and television series during her career. She has appeared in such films as “Step Brothers,” “Wanderlust,” “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty,” “Tomorrowland,” “Bad Moms,” and “A Bad Moms Christmas.”
Hahn’s television work includes roles on such shows as “Girls,” “Chozen,” “Kroll Show,” “Happyish,” “Transparent,” “WandaVision,” and “Central Park.”
“Parks and Recreation” starred Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope. The cast also included Chris Pratt, Nick Offerman, Aziz Ansari, Adam Scott, Rashida Jones, and Aubrey Plaza just to name a few.
Episodes of ‘Jeopardy!’ Featuring Savannah Guthrie at Guest Host Now Airing
Tuesday’s episode of “Jeopardy!” was the second that featured Savannah Guthrie as the popular game show’s guest host. Her debut episode aired on Monday, June 15. After the episode aired, fans of the show took to social media to share their thoughts on her performance. Some praised her, while others shared reviews that weren’t as positive.
“I was pleasantly surprised,” one fan of the show shared. “Very natural and her interactions with and interest in the contestants seems genuine.”
“Savannah Guthrie, you are doing such a great job,” another shared. “‘Jeopardy!’ you might want to hire her full time!”
One review that was critical of the “Today” show anchor read: “Not a great fit. Too robotic for my taste and she doesn’t feel natural and fun. She seems bored with a lack of enthusiasm and a fun personality.”
Guthrie has publicly said she is not interested in taking on the hosting duties of “Jeopardy!” as her full-time job.
“I’m doing a couple of weeks. I loved it. I had so much fun, but I have a day job,” she stated.
Savannah Guthrie’s episodes as the guest host of “Jeopardy!” will conclude on June 25.
