‘Jeopardy!’ and ‘Wheel of Fortune’ Not Airing at Regular Time Slot This Friday, Here’s Why

If you regularly sit down to watch “Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy!” every night, you may be in for a surprise on Friday.

The two game shows have been pushed back later into the night. This is because the NFL draft will be monopolizing a lot of time on ABC.

Instead of their normal evening time slots, the shows are instead moving way later into the night. According to ABC 7, “Wheel of Fortune” will be on at 1:36 a.m. after “ABC Nightline.” Then “Jeopardy!” will air at 2:06 a.m. instead.

Unless you’re prepared to stay up until 3 a.m., it might be a good time to either skip or record the two different game shows.

You can also stream older episodes of both “Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy!” on Netflix.

As for those interested in the NFL draft, that will begin on Thursday, April 29, and will extend until Saturday, May 1. Several teams are expected to possibly make a big move. According to CBS News, there are rumors that the New Orleans Saints are considering trading up from the No. 28 overall selection position. This could be to snatch up cornerback Caleb Farley.

ESPN, ABC, and the NFL Network will all be broadcasting the event.

Epic Night for ‘Wheel of Fortune’

Although there will be a disruption for the two game shows later this week, last night was an epic night for “Wheel of Fortune” fans.

From April 26 to April 30 is “Home Sweet Home” week on the show. “Wheel of Fortune” joined forces with Minto Communities and Margaritaville to add a cool new wedge to the classic, dazzling bonus prize wheel.

There is now a home envelope positioned on the wheel. If a contestant lands on this spot on the wheel, they can earn a new home with a hefty price tag of $375,000. The house is located in Latitude Margaritaville. They then can eat a “Cheeseburger in Paradise” and sip on a margaritas Jimmy-Buffet-style.

While some “Wheel of Fortune” fans haven’t been expecting anyone to actually win that house, viewers were in for a surprise Tuesday night. Laura Trammell, a California woman, is the first to ever win a house on “Wheel of Fortune.” There’s been a lot of epic prizes over the years, but this one certainly does stand out in the show’s history.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Trammell is going to tour the community where she won the house to help solidify her plans. She earned $398,690 from her visit on the show.

‘Jeopardy!’ Recap

Anderson Cooper is currently guest hosting “Jeopardy!” for his second week.

He has chosen Justice Defenders as this week’s charity of choice. Each guest host picks a charity and the money all the contestants earn during their hosting stint is donated to that charity of choice. Last week he was donating to the Albert Schweitzer Hospital in Haiti.
