When you need a break from your busy schedule, don’t you go out and hydrosurf? Well, Jimmy Buffett does and he shares how it looks.
Buffett, who is the chief “Parrot Head” of Margaritaville, put out a video of him doing some hydrosurfing on what appears to be a lake. He puts music to the video, of course. It’s Buffett singing his song “The Slow Lane,” which is off of his 2020 album release, “Life on the Flip Side.”
Here’s the chorus and first verse to this Buffett song that’s bound to take you away from your busy-ness.
“Ridin’ in the slow, slow lane
Ridin’ in the slow, slow lane
Taking time to look around
Everybody’s heading into town
But we are not
Volume’s up and the window’s down
Feelin’ hot, hot, hot
You and me together, babe
Gonna let it all roll
‘Cause everything is better now
When we take it slow”
Now take a look at this video of Jimmy Buffett enjoying some blue skies, sunshine, and time out on, again, what appears to be a lake.
Jimmy Buffett Reveals Details of Unique Ad Collaboration
Now Jimmy Buffett has built up quite a business acumen beyond the music industry. Yes, everyone knows that Buffett has great taste in music. But he also has great taste in boats.
When Buffett purchased his boat, “Euphoria II,” he also agreed to do an ad with the boat’s manufacturer. It would also promote his at-the-time new album.
So the ad’s headline reads, “The Son of a Son of a Sailor Takes Command of his Cheoy Lee Clipper 48.” It refers to his 1992 album, “Boats, Beaches, Bars & Ballads.” The album featured Buffett’s popular song “Son Of A Son Of A Sailor.”
Buffett loves to sail. In fact, “Euphoria II” is where Buffett penned songs like “Cheeseburger in Paradise” while cruising on the yacht.
Buffett Releases New Prints of First-Ever 1974 Tour Shirts
Back in December, Buffett gave his fans something they have been clamoring for to add to their “Margaritaville” T-shirt collection.
On Twitter, Buffett posted a photo of a newly available T-shirt design and said “People asked – so we did it.”
This long-sleeved baseball shirt features a small Buffett logo on the front and a large crustacean playing a guitar on the back. The design revamps the look of a T-shirt sold on Buffett’s 1974 Acoustic Tour.
Along with the image, Buffett writes, “Fun Fact – these are JB and the Coral Reefer Band’s first-ever tour shirts. Available for a limited time only.”
