Over the weekend, Counting On star Jinger Duggar took to her Instagram account to show off her new haircut and color.

“Sometimes, you just need to change the hair up a bit,” Jinger Duggar states. She then shares a few snapshots of her before and after hairstyles.

Jinger Duggar’s new look comes just one month after the TLC network announced it was officially pulling the plug on Counting On amid her brother Josh’s latest scandal. Earlier this spring, Josh was arrested for child pornography possession. He was released on bail and is currently waiting for his trial, which is now set to take place in November. According to DailyMail, a motion was recently filed by Duggar’s lawyer, who is seeking additional information regarding screenshots that were acquired by federal prosecutors.

This isn’t the first scandal that the Duggar clan has experienced. In 2015, Josh was accused of molesting five underage girls when he was younger. Two of the girls involved were his sisters, Jessa and Jill Duggar. At the time, TLC decided to end the family’s original show 19 Kids and Counting. About six months later, the network decided to air the spin-off Counting On, which starred Jessa, Jinger, and Joy-Anna Duggar with their husbands.

Jinger Duggar Opens Up About Her Marriage to Jeremy Vuolo in New Book

In May 2021, Jinger Duggar and her husband Jeremy Vuolo released their new book The Hope We Hold. The book shares details about their marriage, including religious interpretation differences and how the couple fell in love.

During an interview with Today, Jinger Duggar admits that writing the book was a difficult decision. “Jer and I had talked about writing this [book] for at least two years, but it was a bit of a daunting task,” she explains.

The former reality star says she and her husband knew writing the book would open windows into their world that hadn’t previously been open. That includes even for the cameras. Jinger Duggar reveals that Josh’s scandal in 2015 was difficult to process. “Immediately, it drew me closer in my relationship and love for Jesus and also for my family and close friends. But it’s also a process that takes time.”

Jinger Duggar’s husband then addresses his brother-in-law being arrested at the end of April 2021. “Nothing can prepare someone to receive news like that,” Jeremy proclaims. He also says that like everyone else he and Jinger are horrified and want to see justice carried out.

“We just want to say that we are grateful for the authorities who work tirelessly to end child abuse here and around the world,” Jinger Duggar’s husband adds. “We’re praying for all of the victims in this situation. Really, we’re praying for everyone.”
