John Wayne is one of the most iconic actors to grace the movie screens. The legendary actor quickly established himself as the premier Western actor in Hollywood almost as soon as he started acting.

He was tall, handsome, and well-spoken. John Wayne was also an incredibly talented horseman. And perhaps above all else, he had spectacular ability to handle a gun. All of these things combined with his acting awarded him with the nickname “Duke.”

Certainly, if you’ve seen any of his movies, you’ll know that this nickname fits well with his personality. So, in remembrance of John Wayne, the estate that runs his social media still had an excellent throwback.

John Wayne Movies That Will Air in “Duke Days of May”

In a fitting celebration of the legendary actor, there are going to be five weeks of John Wayne movies. This feature is titled “The Duke Days of May.” Many of John Wayne’s movies will air on INSP TV.

In a recent post from INSP TV, they accounted that the month will be dedicated to the actor. Officially the five weeks will begin on April 30.

The first week of films will run until May 2. Each night, the movies will start at 8 p.m. Eastern Time. To begin the festivities, Stagecoach will air first. Big Jake will follow on May 1, and then El Dorado will be the next movie.

Thankfully, that is only the beginning of Duke’s movies.

Beginning May 7 and going through May 9, INSP TV will show Rio Bravo, 3 Godfathers, and then Sands of Iwo Jima. Then, from May 14 through May 16, the films that will air are El Dorado, Hellfighters, and Rooster Cogburn.

The John Wayne movies keep going strong on INSP TV. From May 21 to 23, McLintock!, The Fighting Seabees, and The Undefeated will air.

Then, from May 28 to May 30, the last movies will be shown. Hondo, Rio Bravo, and Big Jake round the Duke fest out.

So, for John Wayne fans, there is no shortage of his movies to take in. This is an event that you won’t want to miss out on.
