John Wayne Westerns Featured in Epic ‘Duke Days of May’ Event: How and When to Watch

If you’re a fan of John Wayne, there is an event coming up very soon that is going to be right up your alley! And, you won’t want to miss it.

The event is a celebration of the legendary actor. It is titled “The Duke Days of May.” And, it will consist of five weeks during which some of Duke’s most famous films will air on INSP TV.

According to a social media post by INSP TV, the month dedicated to John Wayne will officially begin on Friday, April 30. The first week of films will be held from that day until May 2. The films will air at 8 p.m. ET each evening. On April 30, “Stagecoach” will air. It will be followed by “Big Jake” on Saturday, May 1, and “El Dorado” on Sunday, April 2.

And, luckily for fans of “Duke,” there is much more to follow. Each film will air at 8 p.m. ET on the network.

And, based on the schedule shared by the network a good variety of the famous actor’s films will be shown. Of course, there are classic westerns such as “Stagecoach.” There are also war films such as “The Fighting Seabees.”

From May 7 though May 9, INSP TV will air “Rio Bravo,” “3 Godfathers,” and “Sands of Iwo Jima.”

From May 14 through May 16, the films that will air are “El Dorado,” “Hellfighters,” and “Rooster Cogburn.”

The following weekend, which is May 21 through May 23, John Wayne’s films “McLintock!” “The Fighting Seabees,” and “The Undefeated” will be shown on the network.

The last weekend dedicated to the films of John Wayne will take place from May 28 through May 30. This weekend’s films will be “Hondo,” “Rio Bravo,” and “Big Jake.”

Fans Happy to Hear About Upcoming Celebration of the Films of John Wayne

Unsurprisingly, fans of John Wayne were very excited to learn about “The Duke Days of May.” And, they shared their feelings in response to the Instagram post by INSP TV.

“Now that is a great television schedule. The DUKE,” one fan posted.

“He’s a legend. May he rest in peace – loved ya Duke,” another said.

“Love Duke Days of May!!” an additional fan shared.
