Josh Duggar’s Wife Sticks By Him Amid Upcoming Trial, Divorce Reportedly a ‘Last Resort’

Although Josh Duggar will soon stand trial, his wife, Anna, is standing by him.

In April, Arkansas authorities indicted the former “19 Kids and Counting” star on possession of child pornography. He’s currently living with third-party custodians away from his wife of 12 years and their six kids due to a court order.

Although many speculate that their marriage won’t survive his latest scandal, a source close to the family recently revealed that Anna Duggar is a “strong” wife who’s using her faith to help her cope.

“Divorce is never going to be a first option [for Anna],” the family friend told Fox News. “It’s going to be a last, last resort.” The source also noted that it’s in Anna’s nature to stand by her husband in his trying times. She’s currently pregnant with their seventh child.

“That is the kind of wife she is and the kind of person she is,” the insider said.

“She and his family are going to stick by him no matter what. They obviously won’t agree with some things he’s done in the past and don’t know what’s happening with what’s going on right now but they’re always going to love him and stand by him and want the best for him, and want him to do things right. They’re never going to be different than that.”

Yet, the source added that this isn’t Josh Duggar’s first time in hot water. In 2015, TLC removed “19 Kids and Counting” after news broke that he molested his sisters and a babysitter.

His parents, Jim Bob and Michelle, later said he had confessed to the crimes and apologized. That same year, outlets confirmed that Duggar had an account on Ashley Madison. The website helps users have extramarital affairs.

“With everything going on, there’s a lot of healing that needs to be done, with him, with Anna, with their family,” the source added.

“In the past, that was really and truly a family thing that was only put where it was because of who they were, because of Jim Bob and Michelle wanting to do things the right way.”

Similar to Josh Duggar, Anna is also from a conservative and religious background. The insider said her decision to stay with Josh is due to her “relationship with God.”

“It’s not just how she was raised. It’s what she was taught in her relationship with God. She’s an amazing young woman, wife, and mom. I just wish it would all be over,” the source said.

In June, a judge rescheduled Josh’s trial. The trial was moved from its originally scheduled date of July 6, 2021, to November 30, 2021. Duggar had requested the trial be pushed to February 2022.
