Josh Duggar’s Past Accuser Weighs in on His Recent Arrest

A woman who accused Josh Duggar of rape in 2015 said she’s “not shocked” about his charges for possession of child pornography because he’s a “disgusting man.”

Danica Dillon, whose real name Ashley Johnston, is a former adult actress and stripper who said Duggar attacked her in a Philadelphia hotel.

Johnston spoke with DailyMailTV about Duggar’s alleged attack and current charges. Though she admits she has no direct evidence of his guilt or innocence in the case. She said she knows “who he is.”

Authorities Arrest Josh Duggar

Federal authorities arrested Duggar on Thursday. TMZ reported Friday that officials charged him with possessing child pornography, including images of minors below the age of 12. Homeland Security officials raided his office in 2019 at his car lot as part of an investigation. Authorities are holding him without bond, but he may request bail on May 5. He and his wife Anna have six children, with a seventh — a daughter — on the way.

“I’m not shocked by it. I’m not shocked in the least,” Johnston said of the charges. “He’s been a disgusting man his entire young adult life. I know who he is, millions of people have read who he is, but he’s never faced any kind of repercussion, any kind of justice.”

Dillon said Duggar raped her in a Philadelphia hotel in March 2015 when she worked at a nearby strip club. She alleges Duggar invited her back to her hotel room and viciously attacked her. Johnston described in vivid detail the purported attack that left her scarred and traumatized.

She sued Duggar in 2015 but withdrew the suit after he produced an Uber receipt from that night from another city, The Daily Mail reported.

“One of my friends was my attorney, I knew this guy personally. I didn’t have the income to take on [19 Kids and Counting’s channel] TLC or the Duggar family,” she told the British news outlet.

Accuser Says Duggar Got Away With Molestation

In 2015, several women said Josh Duggar molested them when he was a teenager. Though the assaults happened more than a decade earlier. Four of the alleged victims were his younger sisters and the fifth was reportedly a babysitter.

The Duggar family had appeared on the popular TLC show 19 Kids and Counting. But the network canceled the show over the accusations in 2015, and Josh Duggar resigned from the Family Research Council. He released a statement admitting to the scandal. But rather than serving any prison time, the statute of limitations had run out, and he said he attended a Christian rehab for help.

Johnston said she is a survivor of child molestation.

“Child molestation sits very deep in my soul,” she said. “I think it is the worst crime you can commit to anybody. I was molested when I was a child, and nothing happened to the person that hurt me.”

Johnston told The Daily Mail that Duggar needed to face consequences or the alleged abuse would continue.

“It’s disgusting that you know that he’s a predator, you know he was inappropriate with children before, and yet you continue to give him more children. You continue to put your children’s lives at risk. I don’t understand it, I will never understand it,” she said.

She also criticized Duggar’s wife for staying with him.

She said, “There’s something so sick and twisted for a man to be accused of child pornography and to be sat there smiling and his wife saying ‘It’s ok, we’re going to be ok. Because it’s not ok. It’s not ok for you, it’s not ok for those kids. The child pornography that he [is accused of] watching, all of those hundreds of kids that are being abused in ways we’ll never know.”
