Put country singer Kacey Musgraves with the crowd expressing disgust over interviews shown as part of a new Britney Spears documentary.

Musgraves joins a number of celebrities who have been sharing reactions upon seeing “Framing Britney Spears,” which debuted last weekend on FX and is now streaming on Hulu.

In one of the segments, Spears is shown on “Star Search” being interviewed by show host Ed McMahon. Now McMahon made a name for himself before “Star Search” as the longtime sidekick to talk-show legend Johnny Carson on “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson” on NBC.

Musgraves expressed her displeasure at seeing McMahon’s interview as part of the documentary.

“Also anybody gonna mention Ed McMahon and them CREEPY a** interview questions to a young girl. No. #FramingBritneySpears” was Musgraves’ comment via Twitter.

Britney Spears Has Career, Life Under A Microscope

The documentary is filled with a lot of footage from Spears’ career that dates back even before her “Oops!…I Did It Again” era. There has been a massive outpouring of support for Spears on social media. In fact, a special hashtag #FreeBritney has been used by many people before and after seeing the documentary air.

Right now, Spears is in the middle of a legal battle with her father, Jamie Spears, over being placed in a conservatorship in 2008. It basically means that Jamie Spears has total control over what Britney Spears does in her life, including any income she might make as a performer.

Britney Spears was scheduled to start a Las Vegas residency in 2019 but canceled it out of the blue. No one is clear whether her legal battle with her own father is a reason behind the cancellation.

Shania Twain Pens Hit Song For Britney Spears

Looking back on her music career, Britney Spears has received a number of songs from songwriters that she’s recorded. One of those songwriters happened to be country music superstar Shania Twain.

Twain wrote “Don’t Let Me Be the Last to Know” with her husband at the time, Robert John “Mutt” Lange. Spears recorded the song and put it on her 2000 album, “Oops! I Did It Again.”

When it comes to remembering how they worked together, Twain and Spears have different stories.

In 2000, Spears told MTV that Twain wasn’t home when she went over to record the song with Lange. She said in the interview that they must have written the song especially for her because the lyrics are too youthful for Twain.

Twain explained to Fuse TV several years ago that she and Spears didn’t work together on the song.

“It was just a writing thing that I did on the side,” Twain said. “She was working with my ex-husband in the studio. And I got to, you know, say hello while she was in the studio because it was at our home.”

Twain also said Spears was very sweet. “And it was a great experience just to get to know her on a really just behind-the-scenes level a little bit,” Twain said. “And it was obviously an honor to have her record some of my songwriting … But yeah, Britney she did a beautiful job with the song.”
