Keeping Up with the Kardashians

E!’s ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ Ending After 20 Seasons

After 20 years and 17 seasons, Keeping Up With the Kardashians will be ending its run next year. The news came straight from Kim Kardashian West herself. The mogul took to Instagram with a lengthy statement.

“It is with heavy hearts that we’ve made the difficult decision as a family to say goodbye to Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” Kim wrote. “We’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way.”

In the same statement, Kim announced that the final season is airing “early next year in 2021.” She didn’t indicate whether the show’s ending was the result of a cancelation or a group decision to move on. According to E!, the cable channel hosting Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the decision was the family’s.

“While it has been an absolute privilege and we will miss them wholeheartedly, we respect the family’s decision to live their lives without our cameras,” E!’s statement read, according to Variety.

Tensions had been high for some time following rumors that eldest sister Kourtney Kardashian had planned on leaving the show. Kourtney never departed, but indicated she was interested in doing so.

Whether you’re a fan or you have no idea which Kardashian is which, it’s going to be strange with the show off the air. The Kardashians haven’t indicated what’s next, but it’ll be interesting to see what they pursue next.
