Being a parent isn’t for everyone. But, it is something Kelly Osbourne wishes she was already experiencing. And, being a parent is something she hopes happens in her life in the future.
According to PEOPLE.com, Osborne shared her thoughts on becoming a mother on the popular “Red Table Talk” series with Jada Pinkett Smith. This episode will be available on Facebook Watch on Wednesday.
Kelly Osbourne is now 36 years old. She is aware that her battle with addiction during her life has prevented her from becoming a parent.
“Yes, I feel very behind,” the former “Fashion Police” host said. “As a woman, I would have loved to be married and have children by now. My brother (Jack) has three daughters and I would have loved to have kids by now, but that wasn’t what was in the cards for me yet.”
Even though she feels behind, Kelly Osbourne also acknowledged that years ago she was not in a place in her life to have children.
“I would have been no kind of mother at all,” the daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne also said. “Because I was that crazy addict that was like, ‘Oh yeah, I’ll stop doing drugs when I get pregnant because I have to.’ Like, that’s insane that I would ever even think that.”
Kelly Osbourne Shared Details of Relapse That Occurred Earlier This Year
Kelly Osbourne suffered a relapse earlier this year. She shared details about it via Instagram, as well as with Extra. She told the outlet that the relapse occurred in April when a COVID-19 lockdown was lifted.
“I don’t know why my nervous breakdown happened at the end of the lockdown. I made it all the way through, everything was great and my life was perfect. I’m that girl that when everything is going great I need to f*** it up a little and make everything a little bit worse in my life,” Kelly Osbourne said. “I am an addict and had thought that I had enough time under my belt and I could drink like a normal person, and it turns out I cannot and I will never be normal. I don’t know why I even tried it. It’s not for me and it took me a matter of days and I was like done, not doing this.”
Osbourne also opened up to her followers on Instagram about her relapse.
“This is a little hard for me to talk about, but I’ve always promised you that I will always be honest with you about where I’m at and what’s going on in my road to recovery. I relapsed. Not proud of it, but I am back on track,” she posted in April as a story on Instagram.
Kelly Osbourne’s discussion with Jada Pinkett Smith will be available at noon ET on Wednesday (June 2).
