Kelly Ripa To Write Tell-All Book ‘Live Wire’ About TV Career and Personal Life

by Megan Molseed

From a soap opera starlet to America’s favorite daytime talk show host, and even sitcom queen, Kelly Ripa’s career has been an amazing one. And, while the famous television personality has had quite a career spanning over thirty years, I think it is safe to say the tireless Kelly Ripa is far from being done. However, that doesn’t mean the star can’t add “author” to her list of talents.

Daily Mail has announced that Kelly Ripa is ready to release her first book. A sort of “tell-all” recounting her life and career up until this point.

Kelly Ripa’s “Live Wire” Will Spill It All

The fifty-year-old “Live with Kelly and Ryan” cohost’s first publication, “Live Wire” will be available later this fall. The book will feature a collection of personal essays about so many aspects of her busy life.

From growing up around the world in places like Berlin, and New Jersey, to motherhood, stardom, and her marriage Kelly’s book will include essays on it all.

Kelly Ripa joined “All My Children” in 1990. She wowed daytime audiences portraying the young teen Hayley Vaughan. When she arrived on the show, Ripa’s Vaughan was a teen with a chip on her shoulder. Over the years, “All My Children” fans watched the young actress’s character grow from a moody teen into a soap opera star. In 1995, Kelly Ripa met a new costar, Mark Consuelos, and he immediately caught her eye. The couple eloped soon after they met.

In 2001, Kelly Ripa was named as co-host on Regis Philbin’s talk show. Ripa landed this role after the exit of former co-host Kathie Lee Gifford. In 2011, Regis Philbin retired from the “Live! With Regis and Kelly” after nearly thirty years. At this point, Ripa took on the head-host position on “Live!” Michael Strahan was eventually named Kelly Ripa’s cohost. In 2016, Strahan announced he was leaving the show and moving to “Good Morning America.” Eventually, Ryan Seacrest stepped in as a cohost.

Ripa’s A Little Bit Of All Of Us

Chances are, the book will also touch on Kelly Ripa’s various humorous anecdotes. Such as the one she shared with Andy Cohen during a 2017 episode of “Watch What Happens Live.” During the interview, Ripa explained an event that highlights why she needs glasses.

“The reason I have glasses is that, and it goes back some time, Glenn Close was on the show, and I asked her how long she had been the mayor of Connecticut,” Kelly Ripa hilariously explained. “I misread a cue card, cause I couldn’t see it.”

“She looked at me and said, ‘What the hell are you talking about?'” the talk show host continued. “And I said, ‘I don’t know, I know you’re not the mayor of Connecticut, but I can’t see what the card says.'”

Of course, it is just this kind of endearing personality that we are hoping to see in Kelly Ripa’s upcoming book that we now officially cannot wait to read.
