Ken Jennings has an extensive portfolio of work since his time as the contestant of all contestants on “Jeopardy!”

He first appeared as a popular contestant on “Jeopardy!” Jennings has the record for the longest streak in the show’s history. He is also the highest-earning game show contestant of all-time in America. For his success on the show, Jennings was given the honor of being a guest host directly following the death of beloved host Alex Trebek.

Besides “Jeopardy!” Jennings has appeared on countless other game shows like “The Chase” and “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.” He also has a large Twitter following due to his popularity on television.

He is an author that has written several books, from trivia-related to children’s books. He appeared in several ads with companies like H&R Block and FedEx. Amongst all of his work, some people may not know that Jennings has been co-hosting a podcast since 2017.

Ken Jennings Podcast

Ken Jennings and John Roderick are the brains behind a podcast called “Omnibus.”

According to the official site for the podcast, it is “an encyclopedic reference of strange-but-true stories compiled as a time capsule for future generations.”

As he showed off on “Jeopardy!” Jennings knows a lot of things that range from a wide array of topics. He explains on his official website that prior to the show he made flashcards and studied topics common on the show. This included trivia about U.S. presidents, world capitals, and alcohol (he needed to study up on this because he doesn’t drink.)

He now uses his extensive knowledge of trivia to create a collection of stories that are obscure but help to define history. On the show, they have discussed things like the Universal Studios Fire, Bigfoot hoaxers, Operation Ajax, Slab City, and the Cavendish Banana.

The podcast has been on since 2017. Omnibus episodes are about an hour long and come out twice a week.

They are discussing events and topics that people may recognize but don’t know everything there is to know. Essentially, Ken Jennings and Roderick look to save topics that may be lost in the future unless they are discussed and recorded.

According to the show’s Patreon, Omnibus left the original podcasting network producing it and instead is now independent as of 2019. They are urging people to contribute to the show’s fund. As of now, the show has 2,014 patrons.

Alongside him on the show is John Roderick. He is the lead singer of the rock band The Long Winters and was a touring member of Harvey Danger. He also co-hosts “Roderick On The Line,” “Road Work,” and “Friendly Fire.”

You can listen to the podcast on Spotify as well as other podcast streaming services.
