Kid Rock Nominated for Waffle House ‘Tunie’ Award, Raising Money for Musicians

Country music star Kid Rock posted about his Tunie nomination on Instagram today, which raises money for people within the music industry.

The 49-year-old artist posted a series of photos and videos for his 670,000 followers on Instagram. The first photo is of the nomination as well as his appearance at the Waffle House “Tunie” Awards. In the second video, he asks fans to please donate.

The post has already received more than 7,300 likes and 150 comments. 

One fan responded to the post, saying, “Please support our musicians, these are difficult times, these obstacles are a nightmare …” While fellow singer Chad Tepper simply said, “You deserve it all.”

He captioned the post, “Kid Rock is nominated for a @wafflehouseofficial Tunie Award! 😜 The award show will be streaming LIVE on November 15th! Let’s raise some money for @SweetReliefMusiciansFund and help some musicians in need! Sweet Relief Musicians Fund

According to the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund’s page, the nonprofit “provides financial assistance to all types of career musicians and music industry workers who are struggling to make ends meet while facing illness, disability, or age-related problems. We all have received so much out of music, it’s time to give a little back!” The account boasts more than 21,400 followers and started in 1993. 

Some of the other artists that will be performing at the Waffle House “Tunie” Awards are 3 Doors Down, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Old Dominion. In addition, Lee Brice, Lauren Alaina, and others will make an appearance.
