Politically outspoken actress Kirstie Alley is at it again, further calling out fairweather Trump supporters for deleting endorsement posts on social media. Additionally, Alley has used social media quite a bit leading up to the presidential election in an effort to get her point across. She receives much criticism regarding her emphatic support of President Donald Trump but continues standing her ground.
She goes on the offensive her most recent politically motivated tweet, proclaiming the post deleters to be cowards.
“Omg…right after the “election” someone, I forget who, predicted that people who were supporting Trump would delete their Trump tweets,” she says. “I thought “no way!” I hate to say it but it’s true. What kind of cowardice is this? I’m kinda shocked.”
Alley, however, is most likely referring to a tweet from U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who predicted the mass deleting of tweets just days after the election. Additionally, Alley did respond to the tweet.
Alley Responds to Tweet
“Is anyone archiving these Trump sycophants for when they try to downplay or deny their complicity in the future?” she asks. “I foresee decent probability of many deleted tweets, writings, photos in the future.”
Alley was quick to fire back at the lawmaker though, saying she would not be among the Trump deniers erasing social media posts. She asks Ocasio-Cortez to “put my name at the top of that list,” Alley also questions the motive behind the representative’s tweet.
Please put my name at the top of that list. There’ll be no texts deleted, no tweets erased or denial. Ur rhetoric reflects Ur inability to experience differences without threats or invalidation. Pretended racism is your armour but the sling of truth & understanding is more mighty. https://t.co/84Q0e8hSCU— Kirstie Alley (@kirstiealley) November 7, 2020
