Actress Kaitlyn Dever, known most for her role in the sitcom ‘Last Man Standing’ is showing she’s fully come into her own in her latest Instagram post.
The actress displayed a tasteful robe selfie in black and white, with just a hint of polka-dotted tights peeking out beneath her fluffy, white robe. Seeing that the actress has been enjoying her holiday abroad, it’s only fitting that she unwinds after a long day of touring.
No caption was necessary for this photo, as less was more.
The starlet left the long-running FOX show three years ago to pursue other projects. Her cast and crew encouraged her growth and shared nothing but supportive words for Dever.
“Kaitlyn Dever is so deserving of her success,” series star Amanda Fuller said last year. “She hasn’t changed a bit. She’s not too good for us. You would think someone in her position could just be like, ‘Okay, see you. I’m doing these things now,’ and she is not at all.”
Last Standing Actress Pushing Boundaries
Furthermore, the actress is establishing her depth by branching out further into more mature roles. Like in Olivia Wilde’s Booksmart, which pushed Dever from a G-rated, family star to an edgy young adult faced with love and friendship.
After appearing in the Unbelievable limited series for Netflix, which was based on true events of rape and the stigma surrounding it, Dever earned a Golden Globe nomination. Her portrayal displayed her versatility and transition from adolescent to young woman.
Most recently, Dever has landed a role in the film directed by Brian Duffield, No One Will Save You. The role is a huge boost forward in the career of the 24-year-old.
While details surrounding the new film have been scarce, the screenplay is on the risky side, according to Film Stories.
Without much dialogue, the story will unfold in dramatic fashion, drawing comparisons to the Coen’s Brothers films. Dever will have to display her range in this epic storyline.
Additionally, on another project in pre-production, Dever will join the ranks of a few Hollywood A-listers in a comedy starring Julia Roberts and George Clooney, Deadline reported.
The comedy is set to be a tug-of-war original about a young woman who has fallen in love, while her parents attempt to warn her about making similar mistakes they once made.
Roberts and Clooney are sure to guide the young Dever and create a fantastic dynamic as they play off each other.
