Our favorite sitcom dad, Tim Allen, took to social media early on Monday evening to share an emotional photo from the set of Last Man Standing.
Allen posted a photo from the set of Last Man Standing to his official Twitter account. Alongside the photo, Allen says that he and the rest of the show’s cast are preparing for their final table read. He also gives thanks to all of the fans and followers of the popular Fox sitcom.
“Table read tomorrow for our last show of nine grateful seasons,” Allen wrote on Twitter. “Thankful to all who watch our work.”
For fans who don’t know, a table read is commonplace before every episode of a TV series. It gives the opportunity for the cast and crew to read the script aloud together and work through any issues that may come up.
‘Last Man Standing’ Fans React to Final Table Read
After doing table reads before every episode for nine years, there is no doubt that preparing for the final one would be a little bit emotional. Not just for Tim Allen, but also for his fellow Last Man Standing fans.
Twitter user Kevin Eastwood (@docgoblin) left a reply to Allen’s tweet thanking the cast for all of their hard work.
“We’ll miss having new episodes but it’s great to have 9 years worth to watch,” Eastwood replied. “No matter how many times I’ve seen past episodes they’re still just as great as the first viewing. Thanks so much for 9 incredible seasons. Thanks @FOXTV for picking it up when we thought it was gone.”
Although it is sad to see things come to an end, just like Kevin, all of us as fans of Last Man Standing can cherish the nine seasons we do have.
Another fan responded with a sweet message as well. They thanked Fox Network for picking up the show.
“Thanks for the 9 wonderful Seasons of @LastManStanding! We will miss you all! Such a bittersweet for us fans to get a proper closure this time. Thank You again @FOXTV for continuing this show for 3 more Seasons when no other Network would! #LastManStanding”
And finally, one follower wrote a reply saying that Last Man Standing was a “must-watch” show in his family’s home.
“Your show is “must watch” TV in our house,” Twitter user @Toayminator wrote. “One of just a couple. We will miss our weekly appointment with you, the cast and crew. Thank you to everyone involved – cast, crew, writers, even the janitors. Much appreciated. Blessings.”
